This yound lad is really evolving into something very special... albeit, he won't go down in the history books for his defensive skills.

General stats and attitude are both fantastic.

    Should be a banker.
I do laugh at the award Grealish and Martial are both 25 this year and up for it also.

And Greenwood there too with his massive tally of 10 goals for the campaign.

Greenwood is an exception player but neither himself(12) nor Pulisic(19) have started enough games this to be considered for a season award. The award is a bit of a joke. Adama Traore, Joe Gomez, James Maddison have all had better seasons I'm sure there are others too.

I always remembered this award being for breakthrough players like Greenwood. Sterling won it last year, he's around a good 7 years. Trent should be in contention for the big boys award.

Has been like Moreno lately. Neco Williams must be crap in training.

I throw milner in at right back. Trent is special but his positioning fitness look a mess. Almost all goals are coming down his side.

I can't believe the amount of negative comments about Trent.

He is one of the best RBs in the world and makes a huge contribution to the team's success.

As soon as results dip people need to apportion blame...Trent's defensive ability, Bobby's lack of scoring etc. Was all fine when we were winning

Trent is the best fullback in the world and will probably finish his career as the best right back english football ever seen but his form is poor at the moment.

People being a little over protective here. There's nothing wrong with pointing out defensively he hasn't been up to scratch. 13 goals in 5 pl games conceded. Poor v Leeds. Shockin v villa and poor for the Calvert goal.

Could easily make the exact same comment on Joe's thread and controversially, Virgils.

Let me rephrase almost all is an exaggeration but certainly a large proportion. As i've said he's the best full back in world football but he's out of form.

    Down that side
    Villa 5 goals
    Everton 2nd
    Leeds 1st

    Other goals we conceded
    Robertson howler v arsenal
    Adrian howler v villa
    Van dijk howler v leeds

    Everton header from a corner
    Leeds Third
Villa free kick cleared and deflected off Van dijk

After 5 games we have the joint most goals conceded in the league.
