Sadly the UK are building up and if not gonna surpasse Italy numbers. The lack of leadership and warning signs not taking serious. They will be up shits Creek in about 10 days. Cheltenham will be 10 times as worse as alantas champions league game. London underground still wedged even after 'lockdown' all we pray this warm weather kills the virus/disease everyone expects..
Working in a medical device factory. They insist on working despite people dropping like flies in regards waiting on tests/self isolation
In the business of contract servicing in pharmaceutical and medical devices. F**king mental at the moment. Most companies have lost some.of their staff to the virus and expect us to make up the short fall. Phone hasn't stopped in weeks Haven't had a cuddle or hug from the little one Since valentine's
Going back to work on Wednesday. Wont be long before we're cut to a 3 day week, probably in the next couple of weeks.
So far so good. Have bought into the government's instructions and just a case of contacting family and some elderly. Stayed away from today's panic shopping ques and just a case of choosing which to take on first, gardening, windows or gutters etc. Sure there's always tomorrow.
Getting on grand. Have followed their rules from the start and stayed away from family and although it’s hard at times it will be worth it. With two small kids under 3 it can be difficult but we have been lucky this week with the good weather we have been able to get out the back. The little fella who is nearly 3, I bring him out on his bike every evening just to get out of the house. And we have had to come up with new games every few days to play with them. Other than that it’s been fine. Kinda like living in our own bubble.
Lads anyone doing any jobs around the gaff be very careful you don't have an accident the lands you in A&E the hospitals and medical staff have enough to be dealing with as it is. I was going to do my gutters but decided against it for this reason.
if you need to go to A&E go, don't put it off. my da was feeling unwell during the week and didn't want to go to hospital cos although he wasn't feeling right he didn't want to bother them cos he was just feeling a bit light headed, he phoned his doctor and he phoned an ambulance straight away. turns out he had taken a mini stroke. there was a doctor on the radio during the week saying the normal traffic of people reporting with symptoms of stroke and heart attack have virtually disappeared, that's not good.
he was only kept in overnight thank fowler and is home now taking medication. if there is ever a good time to take a mini stroke this was it because time is everything with something like that and he was seen to straight away and was up in a ward within hours. hate to say it and I really hope i'm wrong but I reckon he would've been left waiting in A&E for a while if things had've been like they usually are and things might've turned out a lot differently. on a happier note, did anyone see the trucker on the news the other night?
I have personally not looked at the news in 10 days. Check breakingnews.ie once or twice a day to stay informed. What was trucker on the news for, looking handsome no doubt!!
avoiding it as much as possible meself, caught the end of joe duffy yesterday and heard something that really worried me and I don't do worry normally. he was on talking about there needing to be no panic about the shops running out of supplies.
Speed wanking in the shower is becoming a chore tbh. Can't wait for the wife to pissoff back to work and Junior to be left at the door of preschool so I can spend the day sitting on the couch watching movies, eating pizza and pulling the fucking stomach out of myself. How about yourself?
It's all I ever did as a teen. And I thought I was f*cked up until I heard what my mate did.... Back seat of the car at night, sister asleep beside, parents awake in the front. I might have thought he was bullshitting, but waking up in the middle of the night, to him fapping away beside me, in a double bed in Amsterdam, when we were in our late 20s....well, I realised I wasn't a worst case scenario. Maybe danger wanks deserves a thread of it's own? Anyway, to keep it on topic...corona is annoying.
Just seeing some of the pictures from City West where they're setting up step up and down facilities to deal with people who are not quite in need of intensive care but still need medical supervision. I'm so happy to see us doing everything we can to get ahead of this thing, so far the response from the country has been fantastic, we seem to be taking decisions before the crisis escalates and with a bit of luck we might just avoid things getting catastrophic as they have elsewhere.
An awful lot of unusual activity on twitter accounts supporting Fine Gael lately and it seems to have coincided with John Concannon coming back to run the coronavirus communications strategy. Loads of brand new accounts all putting out similar messages, the same graphs etc. Could be a coincidence but it would be extremely irresponsible if they're putting resources into something like that during a pandemic.
