Matchday revenue up 3.5 million 7th in the money league now social media numbers well up https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/an...S8mNPXEE2TIGxSoIVUbsTCwByK0blmIreRU5QKQV1nxWs
Wage bill has nearly doubled since Klopp arrived. What we've done in terms of recruitment and net spend is brilliant but we've invested heavily in this squad. We love to throw out the stat on social media that we've a lower net spend than Bournemouth but it doesn't make the point we think it does. What the accounts do show is how well run a club we are, wage bill still only 58% of turnover.
Remember reading that if the wage bill is around 50-55% of turnover it’s a very healthy situation for a club to be in , so I guess 58% is similar .
Plus i think this was ending 31 may 2019 youd expect this to look even more healthy next year off back of champions league win and a really strong league campaign and minor business in the windows inbetween.
Remember when the accounts of the club would have pages of posts about them. Remember when we were told that Liverpool under FSG would always be happy to be mid-table that they had know ambition. Remember when we were told that Liverpool would never pay top wages. Their prudent management in turning the club around means we can very much reap the rewards now. Although perhaps without their greatest decision appointing Jurgen Klopp the club might not be in such a great position. I saw Swiss Ramble saying on twitter that he would do a full thread on the accounts as soon as they are published in full.
