Alexander Levy will should relish this kind of course and conditions paying 8 places on 365. That's where my money is going.
Gonna give this thread a bump.... Portugal Masters this week on the European Tour, nice course in Vilamoura. Always fancied the South African's in this event so I will throw out two names this week that I am backing - Dean Burmester and Justin Walters. I am going to add Jamie Donaldson to that as I feel the Welshman is coming back into form and plays well in these type of warm weather low scoring events.
I am Paddser I am flying out early tomorrow and back next Monday. Going to back those three for some interest!
Was at it 4 years in a row couple yrs bak. Great weekend and a top course to play too. Vilamoura is a decent spot also.
John Rahm withdraws from memorial after 3rd round. He was 6 shots clear of the field. What happens to any bets that were on Rahm?
Pretty sure any bet on Rahm is lost. Tested positive for covid. Apparently he decided not to have the vaccine.
Yes,but it seems he found out on the Monday he'd been a close contact of somebody with covid and had the jab on Wednesday after previously deciding not to have it. Just what I'm reading though,I might be wrong.
Looking forward to the golf this weekend.. I see 2 leading bookies are paying first 12 Inc ties. 1/6 odds. Not actually very encouraging for e/,w betting.
Bookies offering up to 11 places in the Masters. How does this work? Is it the first 11 Inc ties? Which could be between 11 and 17 or more players , and that could only b for the first 6. Or Does it go right down to the 11th place finish which could include anything from 11 players to maybe even 30 players by the time you takes in ties. There could b multiple ties for each position
Dead heat rules apply. So if two are tied 11 then half stake wins. If there's ten people tired 10th then 2/10 stake. It's complicated. Also, Boyles offering 11 places but by far worst price every single golfer Vs others paying 8/9 places.
I get how the dead heat works. But when they say 11th place are they talking about the top 11. ( which could only be 5 places) Or right down to 11th place
it will be top 11 (not 11th place) So in theory this could stop after top 2, if there was a 10 way tie for second place Odds then divided in dead heat format
Any bookies offering the bigger places are giving shorter odds on the winning the thing. Usually those from 4th onwards are ties Anyway and you end up getting Jack all back on anyone below 25/1. Back the favourites with bookies with less places and outsiders with 7 places plus. I backed DJ, Sheffler and Pieters as an outside. They are Steve Palmers picks from Racing Post. He has a great strike rate on the majors and big tournaments.
