Back on our perch as officially Englands most successful team and nice to end a poor run in penalty shoot outs.

That was most under performing reds I've seen in long time.. everyone was on same boat. Thankfully we got job done... Up the most successful club in England again

Wasnt a great performance by any means but I Feel relieved to win that shootout, a long night for the lads and that bit of silverware will make all the difference coming home, another throphy over Hendos head I can get used to this.

classic stuff from Klopp, runs onto Adrian at the end as if won the CL again and Interview afterwards it's no big deal.

Fckin love it, the Henderson lift, Adrian gets his moment in the limelight.

Fckin win the league now :D:D:D

Hard to beat a winning culture and great that Adrian has a little piece of history since we will need him over the next few weeks.

Performances in finals are not overly important we probably played better in Community Shield but didn’t lift the trophy. Surprisingly we looked dead on our feet in comparision to Chelsea during extra time.

Delighted to get another trophy. Hopefully confidence for Adrian, what a week for him. Delighted for Hendo, another trophy as captain

Perhaps not a great performance, though still a great win and confidence booster.

This got me thinking. Is it that the klopp and coaches want a higher line with VAR in mind knowing full well a player who's an inch off gets flagged or reviewed now. Defences can be more confident of pushing up.

Should’ve won the Community Shield but lost, should’ve lost tonight but won. Take any cup that comes our way. How many times have the Mancs won cups after playing poorly?

I celebrated in the sitting room as if we won another European cup. I don’t care. I am so happy we won it. I love this winning mentality and long may it continue.

People are saying we aren’t the same as last year , we are this that and the other. We have had three competitive games. One against the champions of England, one against the First Division Champions and one against a decent Chelsea side. It’s not as if we are playing shit. Fitness and sharpness will come back and we will be back to ourselves soon.

Anyway lads, it’s now late Wednesday night and I am still buzzing . Amazing how football can give you these highs and lows and at the moment we are on a high gathering up cups. Long may it continue.

Disagree with all that thought this match should have gone straight to penalties at full time. This is a proper trophy to win and I am delighted with the result. Chelsea were very good opponents and gave us a massive match.

Penalties are a complete lottery the Chelsea keeper came so close to saving a couple of LFC penalties. In my opinion Mo Salah's penalty technique has improved hugely, he still strikes the ball very well but not just down the middle anymore.

Where is the 2020 Super Cup Final being played?

Jesus we were bad there tonight. Great to win that trophy but straight away the focus is Saturday. Massive task ahead there considering the circumstances. Did we start last season grinding out results? I can't seem to remember.

Interesting point. I hope it's to do with VAR and that it will benefit us, because it makes me nervous watching our higher line.

We had the best defence in the league last season. But Klopp wants to improve, you can't improve without trying!

They mark zonally and Kante was acting as a blocker. He's not expected to beat Van Dijk to the header but stop him getting a run on the bigger lads defending the zones.
