Seen a tweet earlier saying this would be the first time in years that nobody in their 11 would get in ours. True..

Didn’t see United game but I saw the Chelsea team and thought they would be up against it.

Worst Chelsea team since before Roman got into it. Hopefully a sign he is fed up although transfer window ban is probably a variable

Porto losing 3 nil at home in the CL qualifiers. We seem to play them every year, not looking likely for this year.

A lot of the fans think they are a big club and supporter wise they are, however if you are getting knocked out every year in qualifying round of CL....

A lot of them think they should get straight into group stage but if they can’t beat poor teams to get into it, what’s the point in getting beat 6 or 7 in the main competition every year.

Said it for last few years that Rangers going to the wall was a massive negative for Celtic as they had no competition for years and no body cared about their league outside of their own supporters. Now that Rangers are getting back to a level, I think the profile of Scottish football will increase again and they might be able to attract more money and better players.

Another argument could be that if they weren't facing so many hurdles to get into the group stages they'd be a regular and the money that comes with that would give them a better chance of holding their own. I suppose its a chicken and egg situation and they're not the only club that's penalised for the lack of strenght in their league. I think you're right ,lack of competition leads to apathy and makes it tougher for teams when they come up against better opposition. Rangers time in the doldrums could be fatal though, there's no guarantee the interest will come back. It's much easier to destroy something than it is to build it.

Yeah agree on the point that if they had 6 games in group stages they could build that into their budget and would be easier to attract better players.

    Mad Porto are out.

And keep players. Might be easier to keep lads like Tierney if you can offer him more money and regular CL football.

Bit of a shock with Porto alright. The joys of cup football, one bad night can kill you.

I have a friend living in Birmingham, he text me the other night saying he was going to Molineux for wolves match tonight and he hoped they'd be playing torino in the play off.

Going in at 4 and 5 nil up from the first leg he HOPED they'd meet in the play off, I suppose some people are bigger believers it's not over til the fat lady sings than others

watching the end of the vill/bournemouth game and there's a bournemouth player on the pitch with no number on his shirt, surely that's against the rules?
