I looked up the kick off times and the derby mid week and the first weekend are the only games with kick off times attached to the fixture.
Does anyone know when Southampton away on the weekend of August 17/18th will be confirmed? I'll be in London on the Saturday so if it's on the Sunday it would fit in perfectly for my weekend. Edit: Super Cup is on the Wednesday before so hopefully it is Sunday
July 5th was the date mentioned in the fixtures 19/20 thread. On page 2 or 3 of that thread there is a date for each months fixture announcements which won't be more than a couple of days out all year
Liverpool v Arsenal: Judging from the TV package list that @redabbey provided me with, Monday and Friday games are in Package E. Package E can only be picked from 3rd or 4th choice. Liverpool v Arsenal will be above that. I would be amazed if it is on a Friday/Monday, as each club can only be picked in Package E 5 times, and we are already picked in that v Norwich. 2 of the 5 times after 3 games would be surprising. It seems to be the biggest game of that weekend, so I expect a Saturday 17.30 or a 16.00 Sunday KO.
Have been reading up a bit more on the new TV deal since I last posted. Few things I have learned is that the reason BT Sport are paying a massive increase in revenue per match compared with the previous deal is that they will have a lot more 2nd choice picks of matches and they will probably have important matches in the run in unlike other seasons. I am now inclined to agree that while Liverpool v Arsenal could be the only match possible to be played on the Monday night match it is very unlikely as if Sky do not pick it BT would not pass on it. Looks like Sky used a 1st choice pick on United v Spurs in the 1st week of the season allowing City to be picked by BT Sport in week one. Unlikely that BT would use a 1st pick for City again in week 2 for the City v Spurs game which might just pave the way for BT Sport to get the chance to use a 1st pick for Liverpool v Arsenal. Being a new TV deal coming into place this year it is harder to make guesses on the way that the TV companies might operate.
Does anyone have any idea Is the club World Cup going ahead and what dates nothing online about it just that it is going ahead. I’m thinking about the watford game 14th dec to go over what’s the chances that’s the week that cup
'There was confusion surrounding this year’s tournament, however, with plans for a bigger but less frequent competition between 24 teams approved in March' What approval?
