I’d be much more confident of beating them if it was over 2 legs.
The two Spurs fans I know, both feel it’s some sort of destiny for them to win it after their escapes in the group stages and the quarter& semi finals. They also pointed out that they should have won at Anfield this season.
Speaking of 2 legs, why don’t they keep that format for the final like in the Copa Liberatores? Would stop the travel issues and allow more tickets for home fans. It would also allow the best team to win. Convinced we would’ve beaten Real last year if the final was over 2 legs.

Remember when they came to Anfield this year they essentially had a free play as their title hopes were well and truly buried. Different type of pressure in a final where the winner takes all.

Think myself it would be shite over 2 legs. Ticket issues aside, you can’t beat the buzz of a one off cup final.

Assuming everyone gets through the next 2 weeks without any issues:

    Alisson
    TAA Matip Van Dijk Robertson
    Milner Fabinho Henderson
    Salah Firminio Mane

Back line, front three & Fabinho pick themselves, someone from the midfield has to miss out, cruel on Gini with his goals against Barca, but I don't see Klopp swaying any other way, he likes Milner & Henderson together for the big games.

I agree, I think Milner's ability from the peno spot will go against him, given it's a toss up between Gini and himself and he's a certainty to score in a shoot out I think it swings it in Gini's favour.

Tell them It's as much our destiny! getting out of group with the necessary result against Napoli & the incredible comeback against Barcelona!
We have the beating of them but would have rathered ajax...in majority of cases finals are 50/50. IMO we were well in for winning last years final up until mo's injury, we were swarming them up to that..time to put that right & hopefully we won't be the 'new' juve or Valencia!

Kane being fit doesnt particularly bother me, if anything it is probably a good thing for us in that he hasnt played in over a month, and given that his original return wasnt slated til 2-3 weeks after the final, I seriously doubt he's 100%.
Him playing makes it less likely that one of Son or Moura plays 90 minutes too, and given Mouras recent form and the fact that Son scares the bejesus out of me every time we play them, I'll happily have a less that 100% Harry Kane living in VVD's pocket for the final.

Surprised Keita is heading off on the warm weather training. Just waiting for the Guinea team boss to tell the world he told us so.

James Pearce: "Jurgen Klopp wants to keep Keita involved and he will continue his rehabilitation programme away from the main squad with the club's fitness coaches this week.

The £52.75million signing from RB Leipzig is ahead of schedule after initially being ruled out for “at least two months” by Klopp after he limped off in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final against Barcelona three weeks ago. A scan revealed that he had ruptured a tendon."

Id say they would play Golden Boy even if he isnt fully fit which will hopefully suit us.
Even if he is fit we have VVD :)

Its as likely we'd get a pen during the 90 mins, would want him on then. (taking of pens won't be the overriding logic for who klopp picks so why i don't think it will get him on the team i don't think either that it will keep him off).

As I'm sure Liverpool fans will be if we win it.

I don't know many Spurs fans but how their fans will react is the last of the reasons as to why I want Liverpool to win this trophy. I think the players have put the work in this season and fell agonisingly close in the league and to fall here at the final in the CL would be a very bitter pill to swallow. Especially against a team that we have already beaten twice this season, I'll be assuming there's some curse on the club if we don't win another final.
