Read report he will be fit Hopefully last years final experience will stand to us , Ajax looked vulnerable but only for they ran out of steam I’m sure they would have won
Kane will play, they won't have learned from a history of star players returning to play at 60% or 70%.
Already getting it from the brother that Spurs will get revenge for the league games as VAR will sort out our diving and cheating. Some neck from a Spurs fan when they have Divey Alli and Harry Claim in their team
Agree with this assertion, we'd have beaten Ajax reasonably comfortably, Spurs are a different prospect and usually give us a right battle. We've beaten them twice this season but it will count for nothing in the final and both games actually could have been very different with late incidents, think Son should have had a pen at home and we obviously scored very late at Anfield. We're favourites but only just.
I was working tonight so didn't see the game. Before tonight's match wasn't bothered who we would get but since I've heard its Spurs I have an uneasy feeling about meeting them. Saying that we played them off the park at Wembley and we've just spanked Barcelona 4-0 so nothing to fear
We can’t lose a 2nd champions league final in a row. Especially to them. We need to get the win by any means. It’s been a great season we need that trophy.
Would agree with the consensus that we would have been better facing Ajax both from a fan point of view (always prefer playing continental sides) and also from the point of view of giving us the best possible chance of winning. Spurs play a similar type game to ourselves, very physical high energy game and it will be close. However they have little European pedigree and have rarely won anything of note which does count for something when it comes to big one off finals. I still like our chances here although in 90 minutes of football anything can happen.
Exactly. I've seen Liverpool fans say it's a disaster we have spurs. We've shown in the league how much better than them we are. Of course they could beat us in a one off but so could Ajax. We'll be so determined to win this and are better than them all over the pitch. It could have been a lot worse, it could have been city.
That's pretty much it, they were hopeless on the day despite dominating possession but we ended up in a situation where a referee error was the only thing that stopped them getting a draw. I think the match followed an international break. Their biggest problem as the season wore on was fatigue, that will be wiped out in the final. Think this will be a proper battle, naievity would have cost Ajax I feel. We will be favourites but this will be hard and our recent cup final travails will give Spurs hope.
Two of the best games in CL history,9 goals between them and I haven't heard one person mention that VAR impacted on their enjoyment in any way. Maybe it wont ruin football after all
I respect Spurs but wouldn't fear them. The final from last year will stand to us big time. Ajax created loads of chances over the 2 legs.
Some would talk up Cabinteely if we played them. We have an outstanding chance. The two wins this season count for nothing but our recent cup history gives Spurs hope
