Yay for autumn scheduling. All the old favorites starting back (or have already done so) to save me from trawling through EZTV looking for series I have never heard of and hoping theyre worth watching. Big Bang, Young Sheldon, The Resident, 911, all up and running. Over the next few days.... Lethal Weapon (minus the Crawford dude who plays Riggs - supposedly fired) should be interesting to see if they can keep it going Magnum reboot (complete with Ferrari F40D, amongst many others!) The Good Doctor Chicago Fire and Med A discovery of witches - reliably informed its Twilight for non teens (all the missus' mates are salivating over it) FBI - new one, but has very good previews The good place Seal team One Ive noticed but am decidedly dodgy about is "Manifest" - a plane lands after being declared lost 5 years earlier...hmmm maybe the "lost" part of that is a clue. No way I am investing 4-5 series in that in the hope that it has an ending that doesnt make me want to fly to the States, find the writers and flay them with a blunt butter knife.
Jack Ryan was great...pity it was only 8 episodes. For a change of pace I watched season 4 of Bosch...another solid, slow burner season. Gave up on Maniac halfway through. Watching Bodyguard now and so far it's good stuff. I think it's creator/writer is the guy who did Line of Duty.
Just read there the "Six" has been cancelled after 2 seasons. Pity, enjoyed that one. Far grittier than the other versions of Seal team dramatizations. Also had a Game of Thrones-esque way of surprise bump offs. Back to David "Angel" Boranez's take on it so.
Reservoir Dogs just started on TG4. The scene at the start in the diner is one of the best movie scenes of all time.
Absolutely excellent show! Loved season one even though it was a slow burner but season two has been fantastic throughout!
I watched the last episode of Season 4 of Better Call Saul last night. As usual - wonderful. I never thought that it would last as long or be as good as Breaking Bad but it is getting there. Looking forward to Season 5 and the emergence of the real Saul!
Gave up on it about 3 episodes into the latest season.Wouldnt have went even close to that far with it if it wasn't for the Breaking Bad connection. Each to their own but I think it's gick.
I am up and down on Better Call Saul. Agreed with Babbs that if it were not for Breaking Bad I would never have stuck with it. Latest series was best yet, however just felt there was not a massive amount happening. The four seasons so far they could have covered it in 2 Seasons, but I suppose the plan is probably to get 5 of out it. One other thing I think is a bit of a problem is that there has not been any really good characters outside of the Breaking Bad ones as the seasons have progressed. Can't say I am counting down the days to next season but will stick with it. On the other hand, looking forward to next Ray Donovan and Nacros.
