Gardaí are tracking the movements of a convicted rapist linked to Deirdre Jacob murder http://www.thejournal.ie/deirdre-jacobs-murder-investigation-4180730-Aug2018/ This was local common knowledge from day 1

Another big loss to the world of entertainment, but her music will live on for generations to come. RIP

2 lines with the lotto plus has gone up from 5 to 6 Euros. Second price rise in the 3 years since it's been privatised.
I heard their rep on the radio earlier disputing that it wasn't the second price increase since the move because onlu the lottery went up last time and this is only the plus! The Monday boggles at how these people think. I'd love of people just stopped playing entirely but knowing our Government their return is probably guaranteed by the state either way.
https://www.independent.ie/entertai...quit-radio-over-serious-illness-37227610.html Sad news about this gentleman - he has been through the wars already in his life and came out the other side with his dignity intact, only to be struck down again.
We listen to 4fm in work and I heard him back on his show again this week and he was thanking people for all the well wishes and I noticed yesterday he was gone again, someone else was doing the show. Comes across as a very decent person
He’s been through hell and back, had a very challenging mental health crisis in his life and has been dealt another sickingly low blow by life. I’ve never heard him once complain on radio and would be proud to be as brave as he is.
I just seen a map of what roads are going to be closed in the city next week for the pope, some amount of them.
Very sad alright. As others have said always cane across as a decent fella and down to earth. Also loved his taste in music
I’d say some Amount of difference in the amount of people wanting to see him next week compared to late 70s. No interest in going to see him Myself however know my parents thought it was one of the biggest things ever to happen back then. Seems a lot of people have got tickets and don’t intent to go in protest. Seems petty to me to not let other people go who may be interested.
They're asking everybody in our job who's rostered off to come in but with the amount of road closures lads don't know how they're getting in.
If the gigs that are regularly held in the Phoenix park are anything to go by, I can't see how they can stop anyone gaining access to a public park. I've zero interest in going but if I did want to go and didn't have a ticket I'd just head up to the park anyway.
They should have limited the numbers to an amount the city can handle. Ireland is not Catholic Ireland anymore, 100,000 or so full on Catholic holy joes would be plenty. Maybe collect tockens at mass, if you go 10 Sundays in a row you get a ticket.
