Lads, give me a good box set do start watching? We've watched Billions season 1, and White Collar. The thing is, my other half isn't into violence - so something non-violent but great to watch. Any ideas?
Started to watch Line of Duty which is on Netflix at the moment. About 4 episodes in and so far so good. Its about Police Corruption in the UK
Finished Billions. Thought it was very good without being brilliant. Reminded me a small bit of Suits which I lost interest in after 3 seasons. Hopefully the next season will be a good one. Starting Band of Brothers. Caught a few episodes when it was originally on tv but never watched it properly.
heard a lot of good reports and its on the list esp with a fresh series just out. My running order for next while is Band of Brothers The Pacific Ray Donavan
The Italian Series Gomorrah about the modern day mafia in Napoli is very good. An italian Sopranos (subtitled). First season is on Sky Box Sets, second season is just starting.
Check out the trailer for the tv series of Westworld, based on the Michael Creighton novel and movie. Produced by HBO so will probably be on Sky Atlantic. With a cast of Anthony Hopkins, Evan Rachel Wood, Thandie Newton, James Marsden, Ed Harris, Jeffrey Wright and Luke Hemsworth and what looks like movie standard production values I would have very highs hopes for this. Haven't had a high quality sci-fi show in a long time. Looks like it will deal with the birth of AI sentience.
Finished it during the week. Thought it was excellent. Wonder will there be a 3rd season? On a side note, I have to say Sam Shepard really looked ill in it.
Watched the first episode of "The Night Of", which is HBO's new series. Excellent first episode, looks like it could be a good show. It's based on/is a remake of BBC's Criminal Justice from a few years back which I heard was good but never watched
