So is it a Sakho Lovren run center defence or Lovren Skrtel? Not sure which I prefer. Don't think Lovren has been bought for 20mil to sit on the bench.

Can't say I noticed him last season but I've a good feeling about him
The piece Neville and Carra did on him sounds very promising

Gary Neville is a cnut but I do find him a very good pundit and liked what I heard when he was talking about Lovren. Welcome to the club

Carra was talking today about how highly himself and Neville rate Lovren which is a pretty good reference for the guy. If two of the PL's most intelligent defenders think you've something about you,you must be half decent.

On that logic if assume Sakho wasn't signed for 17m to sit on the bench. Appears Lovrens major strength is leadership/organisation so for that reason I'd say he's first choice. Sakho seems a little underrated by our support, personally think he looks class.

I think the reason Sahko is underrated by a lot of our support is a mythical one. They think he's uncomfortable on the ball. The English commentators during the World Cup kept trying to hammer the myth home. He completed 180 out of 197 passes in the tournament. Phenomenal stat for somebody who tries to be positive and pass forwards. Also worth noting that for a defender who defends aggressively,he didn't concede a single foul in 288 minutes. Conceded only 1 goal in those minutes too, which had nothing to do with him.

Saw a good few Southampton games and be was very good. Scored at Anfield as well and seemed to be a danger from Set pieces.
Does not seem the quickest but neither were Sami or Jamie. Defence lacked a leader last season. Skrtel's place is very much under threat, he had a good season goals wise just gone, however he was also culpable for a lot of the defensive mistakes. I'd agree on Sakho as well.

I'd say it means Agger will be leaving

Welcome to the club good signing but will be expected to slot straight in at that price. May be the end of Skrtel IMO we may see him leave soon. Agger back up for Sakho and Lovren possibly

I can't wait to see him in action regularly in our beloved red.... here's hoping he's one for now, along with the future....

I suspect Agger is more likely to be on the move, no reason other than I don't think BR and himself have clicked ... based on the lack of football he got last season.

We're slowly but surely seeing rodgers' team coming together, his keeper, his CB's,his midfield along with the captain and Henderson who has become a Rodgers player (I'd include flanno and raheem in that) and his strikers with hopefully 1 more to come.
We're only a full back away from a very good Rodgers' starting 11.

Seems likely. If barca offer 12-14 million we should take it imo. Injury prone and could easily be out for protracted periods again. I really like danny and he loves club so itll be sad parting but sensible in grand scheme of things.
