Hey lads If anyone knows anything about this new box that works thru the Satellite can they please PM me Thanks
I actually have one of these in a box at home, have been meaning for ages to set it up but just havent got around to it. There seems to be a good bit of info when you google it, you might find what your looking for
A friend has a mate who will install the Software for me for 200 euro, expensive but then i get Free Sly TV
To be honest i have no idea and what to do with the Dreambox 5OOS as i had the C before and i could re-image and flash etc but have no idea what you need to do with this new box ! PM me if you have any knowledge on getting the 500S going Thanks
Basically we have a Communial dish, a cable that runs to a Box outside the apartment but Sly said we require an Installer to run cable into apartment. Then they send out a card etc which i don't want. So i have to get Sly installed by an installer before getting Sly send out card and i presume Box
dont mean to sound stupid but, what is a dreambox?? had a quick look around and im still confused, is it a satelite dish that connects to your broadband??
if anyone has a dreambox i would be very grateful if they would send me a PM. I have a question to ask
Are these things still working ? (as in, unscrambling encoded TV stations & if so, which ones please)
Yeah they are, the box isn't as important as the provider you use. They will give you the "kline" to put into the box, which will unscramble everything, including PPV with some of them. Or if your doing a cardshare yourself that's a different story =]
I bought a dreambox a few years ago, I think it was about €120 and got a lad I know to put up a dish and motor (about €80) which means you aren't resticted to a single frequency (e.g. all the sky channels are at 28 degrees East). I don't think it's legal but there's a few lads in the game that have their own subscriptions and use card sharing to make their subscription available to "their customers". He charges me €250 a year, includes all the sports, movies, etc. with SKY as well as hundreds of others from all over the planet. You can find out which games are on which channel at: http://liveonsat.com/quickindex.html
Wen we had the foreigh channels in work, that liveonsat site was handy lookin up the games that Sky etc wernt showin. Very hit n miss.
The dreambox is a satellite receiver that will use the internet to pick up signals. You'll need to connect to it from your router.
Do you have to install software on to these boxes to allow you to receive the channels like you did with the bosca dodgy?
