Should have just rolled out there classic Robbie Keane boyhood dream line. It's actually embarrassing out of him, what a screw you to his current club.
I watch very little punditry anymore but I read Sky kept Neville,Carragher,Souness, Keane, basically all their big hitters away from the Newcastle game today. Has to be orchestrated.
Was wondering about that, when was the last time neither of them appeared on Super Sunday? I see Souness write a critical piece on the takeover and I'd imagine Neville isn't pleased either.
Sky are filthy, they've an amazing marketing team to gloss or over but they're awful. Covering up for a regime like the Saudis to protect their own brand is about to become a full-time obsession. That they've internal personalities that they're afraid of on this abd they're willing to just shelve them to avoid a conversation tells you everything.
https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/man-utd-solskjaer-manager-news-25243869 3 years in with nó sign of a trophy and Neville blaming the players already. It won't be long again until its the boards fault. It's embarrassing to watch but long may it continue.
The annual tradition of Gary Neville contradicting his opinion of the Man U squad has come early this year.
Watched a bit of Lucy Kennedy living with Gazza earlier, he looks in a awful way, outrageous talent in his day Seems to have lived a very hard and crazy life.
I watched a doc on him a few weeks back. It's probably a few years old. He spoke about a couple of tragic incidents, one from his childhood and one involving (I think) his nephew. Horrible stuff that would send many a man over the edge. It's no wonder he has mental health issues.
Shots fired between the PL and Newcastle. Investment from existing partners banned for 1 month with 2 clubs against it. No prices for guessing which 2.
Newcastle might have to come up with some new strokes as they go along. The problem with following the City blueprint is that everybody else has seen it now and will be coming up with ways to try and thwart it. Reading yesterday that they have about 200 million to play with based on the most current figures before they fall foul of FFP so raising their revenue will be vital because even without buying a player that barely bridges the gap between their wage bill and the top clubs. And if they try and make the statement signings, that will greatly reduce the value they get for their money as they'll have to overpay. Keeping a lid on expectations is going to be tough too because a lot of their fans will just think "our owners are richer than everybody,so we'll be able to compete with everybody" ,and they're years away from that if they get there at all.
Everton are an interesting one to compare with, the Swiss Ramble shows how much they have been able to stretch the rules to break away from West Ham, Leicester, Villa and teams of that ilk. They have double the commercial income from those sides but are still at half what Arsenal are at and that includes probably the dodgiest sponsorship deal in the league. The difference between Everton and Newcastle will depend on how much respect the Saudis show to the rules. Everton are probably poor billionaire's, as rich as their owners are they can't afford to waste 200m every summer. With Newcastle it's completely different, it all depends on if they want to go down the we're richer than god route and just tie everyone up in court for 50 years. I'm thinking the latter.
They picked a Combind 11 last night and Neville had 2 united players in it Ronaldo and Maguire and then reckons it’s going to be a united win on Sunday Can’t wait for MNF next week if there is one
Maguire ahead of Matip the best CB currently in the league? Okay. If he was ours he'd be duking it out against Konate and Philips for 4th choice
Yep in advance of sundays game They agreed on 8 out of the 11 and then they had a few minor disputes - Neville wasn’t a happy bunny when he asked Carra if Ronaldo would get into Liverpool’s 11 and was told NO
