Not only will I not come with with ff/fg or greens mate,I won't come at you at all. In the post you're replying to I say it's understandable that some people aren't willing to forgive them for their past, and I'm not asking anybody in that category to forgive them.
What are peoples thoughts on the SDs, out of interest? I know that they are a relatively young, and small party, but while I initially thought that losing Donnelly was the beginning of the end for them, they actually seem to be far better off without him. From what I've seen of their leadership to date, they appear genuine and I suspect, would stick to their principals, even if that meant not getting into power, unlike a few other small parties that we could name.
I see the gardai are investigating the shindig out in rte last week and some of them are appearing at an oireachteas committee next week.
Should fine them all a weeks wages. The money would go a long way for paying RTE's expenses for the year.
Fairly irresponsible of them but it’s going on all around the country, that’s why the cases are steady.
taking pictures, whilst standing on a sign saying 'keep your 2 metre distance'.. you couldn't make it up
This is actually a hillarious read altogether, Eir genuinely seem to be going out of their way to pi** everyone off at the moment. Hard to believe that they are still in existence all things considered. https://www.thejournal.ie/eir-oireachtas-committee-customer-service-5278114-Nov2020/
Translates to we shouldn't have gone rural because we never provided the rural people with facilities to work from home. I did like her answer to the TD that said she would pensioners a free month.
She is also blaming COVID-19, but eir customer service has been a disgrace long before COVID-19 - I had a torturous experience with them last December and it wasn't resolved until April this year! And I think I was one of the lucky ones
I had awful trouble with them 2 weeks ago. Took a week to get my problem solved, i had been passed around to 3 different numbers from there staff each day, and god only knows my total waiting time on all those calls. absolute disaster.
The covid excuse is a complete cop out. As mentioned, like most other domestic tech service provider, signing up and purchasing, absolute clock work Everything else a cul de sac never-ending nightmare. It shouldn't have taken for eir to post their annual profits, and a matt Cooper call out for this to happen. Year's over due and still don't hold much hope.
Eir just have the read of the population, we put up with endless sh1te, don't stand up for ourselves etc. Why else wouldn't everyone have left them, over the last couple of years, or at least stopped paying them for a sub standard service? We're the same with other things too - people don't move Banks, despite the endless complaining about Bank fees, mortgage rates etc. We let politicans away with all sorts and still re-elect them.. The water charges were the only thing we even partially stood up for ourselves about. The bottom line is simply really, we bring this crap on ourselves, unfortunately, and will continue to do so, until we start really standing up for ourselves, and stop tolerating sh1te.
Welcome to the white knuckle ride that is Eir, in all truth as long as you've no problems with service everything should hopefully just tick by nicely, it's when you need to contact someone to have something fixed that you know you're goosed. I've had my mobile with them for about 4 years and never had a single need to contact them and have no issues at all with service etc. but I've also tried having broadband with them and after about 2/3 days I hit a brick wall with the service and same with their customer service, ended up with Com Reg etc. and a refund being issued about 6 months later.
The problem is most other providers are equally as bad when it comes to customer support and even though a lot of cases have to go to the regulator, they only appear to deal with the individual cases and do not address the bigger issue of very poor customer service from so many large companies/organisations.
I haven't dealt with Eir in a long, long time, they were horrendous even back then and unless there's no other choice,I won't go back to a company thats treated me badly, even if I have to pay more elsewhere. But I honestly can't think of another well established company with a worse reputation. A couple of years ago I had a massive row with two of their engineers, and I'm not even a customer.
Ah sure at the end of the day it's only €360, if it all goes tits up I won't lose sleep over it, just cancel the DD and burn the modem.
