Saw that mate and now he's trying to delete past tweets. He's made an absolute cunt of himself. There will be no winners in this one but the biggest loser will be the player. He already got himself out of City to come to us,and now with all this he's getting a reputation that will never go away.

His agent comes across as an total lowlife unsurprisingly. I feel sorry for these young kids with no life experience who are preyed upon by these leeches who give them "advice". The lad is 18, who the fuck knows what they want when they are that age. Hopefully cousin Stevie steps in here for a word in his ear.

He's clearly an idiot but he is very young and very badly advised. My point was more in general when a young fella of 14-15 has a few offers on the table and needs to decide where to start. Duncan has huge talent but obviously thinks he'd made it and should be walking into first teams. That's when the people around him should be talking him back down and not fueling the madness.

Typed agents name into google and the following came up.

Saif Rubie (@saifpr) is a social media influencer. View Saif Rubie social Influence data & trends on HYPR influencer marketing platform.

A grown man calling himself a social media influencer tells us a lot about this fella tbh. Talks a lot publicly for an agent.

Agent charged with 'touting' player to another club

The FA has also announced disciplinary action against two other licensed agents.

Saif Rubie has had his agent's licence suspended for failing to provide information on his company Up 'n' Up Management Limited, his professional indemnity insurance and the annual declaration form that licensed agents are required to submit. He was also fined £600.

Antonio Rudiger intermediary delivers damning verdict on Kepa and calls for changes at Chelsea

Cesar Azpilicueta should no longer be captain of Chelsea following the incident involving Kepa Arrizabalaga in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley according to football agent Saif Rubie.

The player representative, who has listed as an intermediary in the move that saw Antonio Rudiger leave Roma for the Blues in 2017, spoke out on social media in a tweet that has since been deleted after Maurizio Sarri's orders were ignored by the Spanish goalkeeper.

PRESS RELEASE: GFA STATEMENT ON SAIF RUBIE'S INTERVIEW OVER THE GHANA PREMIER LEAGUE
    4 years ago

Our attention has been drawn to an interview by Saif Rubie, the agent of Black Stars coach Avram Grant, claiming that the lack of talent in the First Capital Plus Premier League (FCPPL) is the reason why the trainer is unable to sit in Ghana to monitor players from the local league.

We wish to state emphatically that Mr. Rubie’s interview with the BBC over the long-absence of the coach from the country is riddled with factual inaccuracies, distortions and it is downright misleading.

In reality, the FCPPL and the lower tier leagues in Ghana are filled with hugely talented players and some have recently moved to play for top-flight sides in the top leagues of Europe.

Just two seasons ago Baba Abdul-Rahman played for Asante Kotoko in the FCPPL and just recently he signed to play for English Premier League side Chelsea, one of the top teams in the world. There are many of such examples.

While it is true that one of the challenges of the FCPPL is the exodus of players, the failure of our national team coaches in monitoring talents from the local leagues is even more corrosive. Players would be encouraged to stay longer to play in the country if our national team coaches pay more attention to our leagues. That is because they would know that their utmost desire of playing for the Ghana national team can also be achieved by playing in the country.

Mr Rubie also stated that Mr Grant has organised coaching clinics for Ghanaian coaches. This is false.

Mr Grant has made clear his intention of organising the clinics for Ghanaian coaches and has even held meetings with the League Managers Association (LMA) in England about sending resource persons for the clinic in Ghana but the course is yet to be held.

This clearly shows that Mr Rubie is far remote from the issues at hand and we would appreciate it if he steers clear from issues he doesn’t understand or has knowledge of. Mr Rubie acted only as an agent when the coach was being recruited and now that Mr Grant is an employee of the GFA, we will deal directly with him if there any issues. We believe we can amicably solve any differences if they arise.

The greatest asset any football federation has for the development of the game in its country is its league. And with the GFA investing in the league and paying more attention to its progress, we are investing in the success and future of Ghana football.

As a progressive football federation, the GFA is committed to paying more to attention our local leagues – to help strengthen our competitions to deliver the best sporting entertainment to people in Ghana while discovering talented players to ensure the long-term stability and a brighter future for our national teams

I've always thought this and I think the facts back it up. Look at the England squad and the vast majority were all playing regularly at a young age for lesser clubs. In reality though, turning down one of the big clubs when you're a young lad generally means turning down a lot of money and how its sold to the player by the club and often the person advising him is, " They obviously think you have what it takes or they wouldnt be investing this type of money in you. And say it doesn't work out, you'll be mortgage free and will walk into a contract at one of the lesser clubs available to you now, just like -insert player here- . Where better to learn your trade than under -insert manager/coach here-" . The players chances of reaching his potential become smaller with the choice 90% of the most talented players make in that situation(and who could blame them?) and the game gets deprived of better talent than it could potentially have had because the best 15 and 16 year olds are signing for clubs where they're unlikely to reach their potential. By extension, national teams lose out too. Holland is a good example, theres been a big drop of in the quantity of exceptional players they're producing as a lot of their young talent chose the more lucrative contracts available in England. Obviously there will be other factors but I think you'll get what I'm saying.

It's actually a very good thing for the lads that burn brightly early doors though you'd have to say in real life terms (football only being a way to earn a living viewpoint). If you were an agent and looked at the situation from the players point of view you'd probably offer them the exact same advice. I've a lot of friends from Newcastle and every single one of them has a guy they played with in school/nursery etc.etc. that was better than Hart, Carroll, Shearer but injuries, luck, agents, managers just didn't go their way and now they work jobs like the rest of us. Had they had agents that put their financial wellbeing ahead of their football maybe they'd have something to show for whatever natural talent they had instead of just a story to reel off in a pub.

But on the football viewpoint you're right, maybe in an ideal world until you're 21 you earn a wage which is set by the FA regardless of where you play unless you're in the first team playing games or something and any transfer fee is set based on your senior caps to stop turning young players into commodities but it's not a perfect world and the best agent for every player is the one that can maximise their earning potential as young as possible because the percentages are stacked against every single one of them genuinely making it.

For the sake of his career he has very little option than to come out and distance himself from that agent. Only seen him play once ( in the youth cup final) and thought he hasn't the right physique to make it at the top of the game. Looks a league 1 player at best.

Yep,as I said mate, who could blame anybody for taking that option. I've seen football destroy a lot of lads before they had the chance to earn anything remotely substantial. I'd never judge anybody for taking that option and even without the financial incentive many would take it anyway. Try and explain to a young lad who knows nothing but being the best player on almost every pitch he's ever stepped onto that he might not be good enough for the big club, while at the same time not destroying the belief you know he can't succeed without. Not only does football set up most of the young lads it takes in to fail, but the mentality you need to have a career makes overcoming that failure extremely hard. The whole culture needs kids to believe they can't ever be happy unless they have a career in the game, and then it dumps 90% of them out on their arse.

Chris Smalling off to Roma which should end any speculation about Lovren.

What a mess he made of going to his boyhood club. European Champions and he's still 18. He's already got a name for himself for all the wrong reasons. I'd say he will look back with a bit of maturity at some stage and regret this big time.

Bit of a spat going on between Nabil Fekir and his agent of the reasons for his collapsed move to Liverpool. Fekir is claiming he has no idea why the move collapsed as his knee was fine at the time while the agent is claiming that the knee and a new pseudo-representative that got involved in the negotiations are the reasons for the collapse.

Only my own personal read of the situation but looks to me like the club might have got shot of this lad due to some agency issue with his actual agent and someone else that Fekir was trying to involve in the transfer (potentially a family member).

Yeah, his old agent seems to be intimating that a "family member" got involved at the last possible moment (after the infamous video was already shot) and wanted to start the negotiations from scratch. Must mean personal terms, as (pure guesswork here) with fees agreed, video shot, whomever this new party was probably thought they could gouge another few quid out of the situation.....ooopsie, "how's your knee there Nabil> - off you go to Betis"

The knee stood up over the past season, but his stats fell off a cliff. Even though this one was the cause of much consternation in the fan base at the time, with the benefit of hindsight, we may have dodged a bullet. If "family" start sticking their oar in, generally causes nothing but trouble. Just look at Insigne, great striker, but nobody (but PSG) wanted anything to do with him because of his Wife/Agent, who by all accounts is poisonous.
The only time we want to here/see anything to do with family is either end of season parades around Anfield, or social media of WAGs looking stunning, cheering on their partners.

God I would love if there was some truth to the Suarez rumours during the week.
What a dream player to have back in this squad..
