There was never any point in keeping him behind at Melwood with all the backroom staff in Marbella. No chances need to be taken for the Champions League Final with any player.
Injured in training this evening.. He just can't seem to get up and running and stay fit for a sustained period. Didn't help playing during the summer when cleary he wasn't fit.
This guy can't catch a break but I think Guinea have some questions to answer. Obviously Kieta wanted to play the AFCON no matter what but the national team could have taken the best option for the player and managed his injury correctly.
Hope its not a reoccurring injury and is only taken out as a precaution, fancied him to start tomorrow night. One setback after another so far for him.
I watched the game where he went off in the AFCON. He was clearly not fit and shouldn't have played. LFC left to pick up the pieces now
Hip flexors can be a bit dodgy. But of an old man type injury (me in football terms) but not too long usually
Remember with Sturridge not long after Klopp had arrived that he wouldn't allow him play until he had completed x amount of sessions uninterrupted. Naby looks like he's reached this stage, I'd say he will be looking at 3 or 4 weeks of intensive training after he's back to what he would call fit.
Jesus I would dreading looking at this thread as I would thinking he would have picked up another injury.
At this stage, I think that ship has sailed to be honest ... no idea why, but it hasn't happened for him (injuries aside), and don't think it's going to now tbh.
He had a great game today. Noticed he seemed to lose out on every ball chipped in to him so physicality an issue, other than that he was sublime and has a lovely turn on the ball. Loses the ball at times because he is forward thinking but his passing is excellent.
