So if my maths are right that means that 3,834 tickets are guaranteed for the 7+ credit people and 6,632 in the ballot: Contractual/Priority Rights - 4,153 Media/Officials/Players - 1,828 Commercial Partners - 166 Fans with 7+ credits - 3,384 Fans in the ballot - 6,632 Total Allocation - 16,613 So 30,508 fans are in the ballot for 6,632 tickets = 1 in 4.6 chance Makes me more depressed seeing it like that tbh!
In my initial calculation I had forgotten to include a reduction of the 16,613 tickets due to media/officials/former players etc. It's disappointing that Uefa don't give a certain amount of tickets to those people, considering it is a 64k capacity stadium. As you have calculated, only 10k tickets for Liverpool fans. Very poor form from Uefa. Best of luck to everyone in the ballot. Anyone who has links to competitions, share them here! I'm not sure if this is an official competition, but here's a link to one I found on Facebook: https://vyper.io/c/10630zfkqy/7485811
LFC had 12 CL games this season. Anyone who has 7 credits this season is guaranteed a ticket. Anyone on 6 credits could enter the ballot.
I'd hope that some of the priority rights tickets won't get taken up. They're on sale right now and cheapest are the £154 Cat 3's with everything else being Cat 1 and 2. Hold out some hope that when that sale ends on Thursday there'll be more available for the ballot, same with the 7+ guys but that's way less likely. I wonder if there are a few unsold from those 2 sales if they are reflected immediately in the ballot results or if the ballot will go ahead with the exact amount set aside as it stands and retrospectively update to the waiting list I read through our thread this time last year on the Kiev ballot - quite the rollercoaster!
Good point. Nice to hear that! Some positivity at least What do you mean by 'update to the waiting list'? If you mean 'will they do a second ballot afterwards', I don't see the point in doing that as opposed to increasing the amount of tickets available in the first ballot. I spent that entire month in hospital! So I don't remember any of it. I'd love to read. What's the name of the thread?
If you're unsuccessful in the ballot you get assigned a waiting list number, after the initial ballot sale period they see what's left then mail the appropriate number of waiting list people in order and do that until all tickets are taken, think the first 800 or so on the waiting list got sorted last year from memory? Edit: waiting list numbers 1-719 got sorted in a subsequent online sale and then a few others from position 720 got contacted for direct sales after that. http://www.irishkop.com/forums/index.php?threads/european-cup-final-2018.27842/
Good luck to everyone in the ballot bump. And for anyone who can't make it for whatever reason theres a good few of us on here that have travelled following the reds this year are still without and will happily take a spare including myself. Ta
Is it not a bit complicated should someone come up with a spare not travelling though? I only say this after my own experience last year. Not a hope anyone other than myself was picking up my allocated ticket from the collection point in Kiev last year as they insisted on ID
You fill in the details of the person using it when you buy it like all the euro aways I assume and then that's the only person they will give the ticket to A good few off here done that last season
Yes like Gerry said if you know you are not going you can complete the form in the other persons name in tomorrows sale after that I'm not sure what can be done
You need a good bit of info about the person who will use it but I gave my own ticket that way last year to a member on here. That time it was over the weekend before the sale on Monday but there's a short turnaround this time with the sale starting tomorrow. Also hoping to be considered if there's anyone not travelling! After being successful last year and giving up my ticket because of not being able to travel it's murphy's law that this year I'll miss out in the ballot despite definitely travelling. Still fingers crossed though. My email last year was 6.40pm so not expecting anything for a few hours yet but will periodically check my purchase history as it would likely appear there first if successful
Just my opinion but there should be a thread especially for people who gave up their ticket to someone on here and when next cup final comes along they' d be first in the que for a spare.
Not sure there should be myself. If the person who got the ticket offered up last season has one this season both parties can deal with it between themselves. Others who have spares which is unlikely will offer to people they have dealt with themselves over the seasons.
I agree with both points above. However this isn't just a "give tickets to your friends" forum, we're all a family here. So everyone is as equal as anyone else. Then it should boil down to trade rating, and 'who has given the most gets the most in return', rather than 'I like this guy and I don't like that guy, so I won't give it to him'. Best of luck to everyone in the ballot!
