Ajax basically froze after going 2-0 up and stopped playing bar that one chance against the post. Spurs were basically a long ball team in the second half where Llorente surprisingly gave De Ligt a torrid time. No way will that work against us as Llorente won't bully Van Dijk or Matip like that! I would of preferred Ajax too but we are infinitely better than Spurs and would expect to power through them and onto victory. Only Son from them would have a chance of making our first 11 and I include Kane in that!
Agree with you mate that Son is about the only one I'd take too (and I include Kane too - he's too much of a glory hound for my liking, has little or no idea what team play is about) but tbh I think he'd be sitting on our bench - he wouldnt replace any of our front 3.
He wouldn't get a game. Only Alderwerald or Vertoghan and Eriksen would get into our first XI. Kane may get in to in fairness instead of Bobby.
Son is far better than Kane and Bobby is a far more intelligent player than Kane.Spurs are actually alot better when Kane is injured so I would definitely rather Kane plays in the final. I wouldnt play Eriksen infront of any of our midfield as he is way too much of a passenger in most games I see him in and doesn't press near enough. Alderwerald or Vertoghan aren't as good as they were a few years back and I wouldn't have them in the team over Matip or Gomez.
Since this is the "today's matches thread", is there a match on this weekend? Or do we have to wait until the June bank holiday weekend?
I'd rather we just concentrate on how we win the champions league than worry about ifs/buts of a potential follow up appearance in another game Honestly couldn't give a fcuk about who we,d possibly meet as we are much better than both anyway
