In fairness most English people and 15 year olds know exactly what upthera is and what's going on If the shoe was on the other foot and he had tweeted up the uvf, I wouldn't want him near a green Jersey
I dunno what it is about him but I like him, part of of me thinks fair balls with him to go with what is best for him and his family long term. Easy thing would have been to go with orginal plan wit Ireland which would have been the easiest option. He will make far more money as an England International. Back in the day Loads of Irish players would have jumped at a chance with England only Ireland called them up first. That’s when Ireland had 2 or 3 players at United, Arsenal and Liverpool compared to now when we don’t have hardly a player from a top 10 team.
I'd just prefer honesty from him. If he says I always felt English but I was offered the chance to be an international and was excited by it. I never thought I would be good enough to play for England anyway. Just don't give it the I was torn bullshit.
Yeah he's been gutless with this from the start, handled very badly. All the focus is on the up the ra chant too. I can fully understand a naive teenager spouting stupid crap they don't understand. But I can't believe more isn't being made of the other part of his tweet "Wait till we draw England Angry devil emoji". That is worse from an england fan's point of view imo but it doesn't seem to be getting a mention. This from a guy who really feels english, the england call up was the proudest moment ever. That just shows him as a pathetic idiot eager to please whoever he is talking to at the time. What a sad little twat.
If I was born, grew up, and lived in America, but had an Irish parent - I wouldn't be sure who to play for. I can understand Rice's point of view. I'm not saying he's being completely honest with what he's saying, but there's definitely the chance that this was a big part of his decision.
Coleman will start and captain the side today. https://www.rte.ie/amp/1038036/ https://www.irishtimes.com/sport/so...tain-ireland-on-his-50th-appearance-1.3835479
It's a win, very early days with the new manager etc. so not the worst situation to find ourselves in tbf
