Apologies if a thread is up for this already as couldn’t see one. Uefa ballot now open for champions league final and closes on Thursday 21st March. Emails out on 5th April with result and if successful, you can decide to pay or not then.
Is it true that they cancel your applications if you apply more than once from the same home address/IP address?
From the FAQs. "If one person is found in multiple applications – as a main applicant or as a guest – all those applications will be cancelled and will not participate in the lottery"
Doesn’t matter either way to be fair. Its just a UEFA regulation that the traveling ticket holder’s details need to be on the ticket. Its never actually checked.
Yeah you’ll be grand like, I got a ticket in the ballot for the Europa League final in Basel a few years back and they don’t ask for it again or even as for your passport.
The prices are mental. €600 for cat 1! I just went for cat 4 with the upgrade option ticked for cat 3 as well. €180 for a ticket is still crazy.
I was selected for a security ID check for the final in Wembley a few years ago after my name came up in the lottery. I had to travel over to produce my passport to get the ticket. It’s not a certainty that you won’t be selected.
Anyone know if it matters if there are multiple applications from the same IP address or device? All the passport details etc and names of guests are all gonna be different but can’t be arsed applying from different devices and IP addresses.
I assume that was on the day of the game? I get why they do it but surely a tout would just pick it up and then pass it on to whoever they agreed to sell it to for a silly price somewhere else.
After reading that wording they've given 3 times, I think what they're are saying is that say they recieve 30 applications and your name is on every one (1 main, 29 as a guest) then they'lll cancel all of them. EDIT - 30 is just a random high number I've came up with, not sure what they consider a high amount of applications.
