One of the headline stories on independent website No fan of Healy Raes however this being news just shows where media are these days https://m.independent.ie/irish-news...rae-defends-driving-in-bus-lane-37784658.html
https://www.thelocal.se/20180207/finance-minister-calls-for-new-karolinska-hospital-inquiry I've a brother living over in Sweden at the moment and he's been hearing all about this in their press right now. This isn't a huge amount off our own ridiculous cost for a hospital.
Can't help but be suspicious of some of our press and their motives, or who influence them when you see the coverage of this crap about Healy Rae, in comparison to the numerous more significant things that go on in this country !
As Ed said in the other thread, its about clicks and there's more interest in stories like that than in a lot of others that might be more important. Having said that,I think that story qualifies as being in the public interest and should be written about. It's a TD who has credible accusations against him for ignoring road safety, breaking the rules of the road and giving a less than credible excuse when challenged on it. Id prefer somebody took the time to investigate how his stroke politics generates a lot of money for him and his family, but theres plenty of room for both.
He was in the bus lane (on the Naas road) so he could step out of the car to support the nurse's (20 miles away), you saying that's not credible?
True, and most would too if they were looked after their constituents as the Healy Rae's look after their own. They really know how to play the game well, couldn't give two shits about rest of country but all about Kerry.
https://www.buzzfeed.com/alexwickham/tory-mp-chris-chope-block-fgm-legislation What a dirty scumbag and you'll see the kind of form he has if you read the article including trying to block Hillsborough be debated in parliament.I hope he gets hit by a bus.
Rents went up 9.8% last year. Average rent in Dublin is 300 euro more a month than it was at the height of the boom. Those rent pressure zones working well.
It's absolutely crazy out there, I don't know how people can cope with it, the only saving Grace is that apparently the number of properties is finally starting to grow, it's the only genuine way to tackle the demand in the market.
He'd never admit it,but I'd say Simon Harris could kiss those fucking idiots who turned up at his house today to protest. Ministers have been sacked for far less than the kind of shite he pulled and I'm not saying he wouldn't have kept his job,but this guarantees it. If he was sacked now it would make other dopes think protesting at politicians houses is an effective tactic and the Dail won't want to give any encouragement to that idea.
