Hi, Amazed there doesn't seem to be a specific thread for the ladies, so thought I'd like to give 'em one Official homepage Matt Beard (former Chelsea ladies manager) seems to have been able to lure a few of the ladies up from Chelsea, once we signed him as manager a few seasons back. He did the business for Chelsea and subsequently has helped us do well, seems to have the touch....

Best £2 I spent yesterday was going out to Walton Hall Park to support the ladies team. The kick off time was 1pm so plenty of time to get back to Anfield. They won 5-0 against Watford in the FA Cup 4th round and now face Chicester City Ladies in the last sixteen.
The football was a pleasure to watch. Very enjoyable because it was so attacking based, far less tackles than in the men's game. The skill set of the young players I saw on the pitch was exceptional. Obviously very well coached. Reason I went yesterday was not because I always had a particularly desire to see ladies football, but have always fancied a U18 or U23 match but they are never on at the same day as when the 1st team play. Early in Liverpool yesterday it was very cold, I was not even sure the match might have gone ahead as thought it might have been called of because of a frozen pitch.
Hi, Bad weather aside, 252 is a very small turnout isn't it. I guess that's just reflective of how little support ladies football really gets in the UK, compared to the male dominance of the sport. From what I can see, Ladies football is being plugged fairly heavily in the USA, so it might be worthwhile for our owners to consider taking the ladies on tour across a few fixtures in the USA next summer or the summer after.
Really tough job given the large number of players enticed away from the club over the summer. But only a couple of games in, is very strange.
