I can see this going to extra time. I hope not.

    I’d take extra time now.
If Denmark score I think they will go through.
Just can’t see us scoring twice.

I’d be more confident if Coleman and Walters were playing

McClean has been the hero of this campaign and I reckon he is going to score the winner or break Eriksen in two and get sent off.

    2-1 Ireland (Duffy and Long)

Couldn't care less how we play as long as it works and we qualify.
Some buzz for the summer ahead then.
Scrappy 1-0 win, set piece goal. Might even be a peno

can't see O'Neill throwing the kitchen sink at Denmark in this game but if they don't it might backfire on him.

Hope it is better to watch than the last game. We have no one who you think will stick the ball in the net, always seems to be the Irish problem. If I wasn't Irish I'd probably hope we didn't get through, our football adds nothing to a tournament. Out of the qualifiers so far only Croatia would be a team who a neutral could watch imo. But I am Irish and hope for the best. Gut says we will miss out narrowly...

We love an auld 1-1 at home. Which would be horrendous.

Could be seriously cagey tonight as neither team exactly sets out to play decent football and conceding, especially for us, would be catastrophic.

Cant see anything but extra time and pens. Being optimistic Im hoping for a 2-0 with McClean and Duffy on the scoresheet

Does away goals count after 90 mins or et?
Afaik in some tournament (maybe league cup) it differs I think.

One thing you can't take away from us under O'Neill is our ability to pull out results in situations like this and Denmark are no great shakes,we've a great chance.

Same as the away game with Wales we've two very poor but evenly matched teams so no reason we can't win. I still feel Denmark might edge it as they have the away goal %'s playing in their favour!

Not overly confident but really hope we can see it through.Plenty of regulars on here that follow the team through good times and bad and it would be great if they can get a trip to Russia next Summer.
Sort of regretting giving my ticket away now but it's gone to a more deserving home.

Every corner so far has been 2 on 1, that is the most basic of defending that we failed on.

We're starting to pass the ball now, daft really, if they think passing is the way forward why wait 130 minutes into the tie to start doing it?

They actually aren't as poor as I had thought, much superior to us technically, you'd struggle to even dream of us getting two more.

Theres barely a team in Europe not better than us technically Ed,these are piss poor. We've handed them this tie with a mixture of horrendous mistakes and our usual tactics when we go a goal up.

Id get Arter off and put Long on.If we're going to keep hoofing balls we should at least give ourselves a chance of holding it up and playing further up the pitch.

Not saying they're any great shakes at all by a standard other than that they look a far better football team than we do. We're chasing the game and they're the ones still owning the ball and we can't lay a glove on them, they may be poor but they are at least willing to try and play a bit of football.
