First game tonight Pats going to be hard to beat. Titans a team that are flying under the radar but could go well. NFL would not be the NFL without a scandal or suspension. Elliot suspended for 6 games And Kap can't get a team despite being better than more Back up QBs.
Great to have it back, mad that I can both see the Pats going unbeaten for the season (I almost expect it) and that they could lose tonight! Can't see anyone touching Pat's this year if Brady stays fit, he's just too good.
Okay I'm surprised they got hammered so badly last night, Kansas have some serious weapons on offence. Alex Smith at QB is my only concern for them, they've a serious run at this season now.
The experts reckon they will bring in the rookie Mahomes during the season and that could make Smith up his game. Happened with him at the 49ers but Kapernick got in that season they went to SuperBowl
Be shocked if Mahomes was playing the start of next season he is very very raw. Shocked Patriots lost but the were destroyed by kansas city a few years ago and went on to win the superbowl. Great to have it back. Cant wait for the Eagles game Sunday.
Trump saying players who don't respect the anthem or flag should be fired. Such a bollix. Loads of NFL owners coaches and even Rodger Goddell have issued rebuttals. Pete Carroll s was excellent. I'd love see all players kneel this week in a unified objection against Trump.
Would have got some odds on the Jets winning three more games than the giants at this stage. Some very bad injuries to marquee players like Johnson, Beckham, Cook, Watt etc. The rewards for the players are massive however the amount of injuries in unreal in the last 3 seasons.
Does seem to be getting worse the number of injuries especially to the big star attractions in the league. Very frustrating in the fantasty leagues too I must admit.
Mad season. Watson from Texans latest player to be ruled out. Throw in Rodgers, Joe Thomas, Carson Palmer, it’s carnage. Eagles look excellent and probably favourites although an injury to QB and they would be in trouble.
Jay could be massive for the Eagles but you're right if Wentz goes down they'll be goosed, same thing happened Oakland last year when Carr got injured. The Pats are getting plenty of wins but I'm not sure how convincing they are still, reckon they're still just about favourites but it's tough to say for sure.
That would be a great match up but the more the season goes on the more convinced I am that the Pats name is all over the trophy. It's usually a huge defensive unit that can topple them but I just don't see any in the league right now and Brady looks as good as ever. Their defence has shaped up since earlier on this season too.
Saints look legit though. Absolutely love Alvin Kamara. Was at their opening game @vikings stadium and they looked all over the place but they've now committed to a very effective run game and the defence have really improved. It'll take a good side to stop them. Looks a good battle for the NFC with eagles, rams, Seahawks ( though crippled with injury), saints and vikings all with legitimate claims. AFC looks a bit more straightforward. It would be great if chiefs could beat pats in playoffs as Steelers just can't seem to get it done.
Good shout on Kansas beating them by the way, I said it at the start of the season before the very first game that I wouldn't have been surprised to see the Pats go unbeaten for the season but I also wouldn't have been surprised if they'd lost to Kansas in the very first game, little bit of a bogey team for them. Alex Smith is a good QB and they've a lot of weapons in the air and on the ground to get at the Pats defence but they're such a mentally tough team to actually break when it comes to the business end. I'd love to see the Steelers go far, they're another team with ridiculous options on offence that they can't even accommodate all of their superstar receivers at this point. Eagles have been brilliant this year and signing Jay Ajayi is a seriuos statement of intent, if he can get back to last years levels for Miami they're a very real prospect for a run at a superbowl. Ultimately there are still lots of teams that could win it and I'd love to see somebody different getting a win this year because I do feel in the next 2/3 years when the Pats are without Brady that the league will open up a lot more though Belichick may well have something already up his sleave for that (and I feel quite certain Brian Hoyer is not that trick).
Fantasy playoffs start tonight. Have a stake in Matt Ryan and Devonte Freeman. My opponent has Julio Jones. Stafford my normal QB but want to "mark my opponent"in case Julio goes off. Make cock up of season midway through. Picked up Alvin Kamara with my final pick in draft and was happy with it as was really impressed with a few splash plays preseason. Traded him for lesean McCoy after Kamara had a good game v green bay. I thought I'm trading a rookie in a committee for a top RB. Since then Kamara has been lights out insane and McCoy meh ( due to a facile bills offence). Trading away Kamara has lead to a lot of abuse my way. Anyone else fuck up as bad in their leagues?
I was on the other side this year in that I managed to trade Devonta Freeman for Lev Bell and Kelvin Benjamin. A week later I went to take Benjamin out the team for his bye and cut him instead. Got lucky with him getting injured but it was a massive cock up. Our playoffs are next week and I am in at 9-4.
