Fantastic film! Hard to believe its a true story and many of them only received recognition for their efforts in the past year or so
You're right. I was thinking of this story, which is actually only a few months old https://www.irishtimes.com/news/pol...ege-of-jadotville-to-receive-medals-1.3118324
Watched Shot Caller at the weekend and really enjoyed it. Would defo recommend it. Also watched Going in Style. Really light hearted and easy to watch film.
I second that, saw it tonight and recommend it also - a good 7.5/10 from me. Credit to Coster-Waldau, he was very good in it - interesting to see him in something else besides Game of Thrones.
Saw Dunkirk tonight, Good movie, but not a "great" movie for me and I generally tend to love stuff about WW2 etc. I'd rate it 7/10 but no more tbh. Also saw Churchill. 6.5/10.
Watched an Alien movie directed by Ridley Scott, an action/adventure with Tom Cruise and Russell Crowe and a King Arthur movie by Guy Ritchie and the pick of the bunch was.... the Guy Richie movie!! Alien Covenant was shit. The Mummy was worse. King Arthur: Legend of the sword was surprisingly brainless fun for an hour and a half. Problem was the movie was 2 hours long so I was completely bored for the last half hour. Very big budget, which I didn't expect, although a quick check on Wiki, said the movie made a huge loss. Not so surprising since there was no real A-lister to carry the movie. I watched these weeks ago and haven't watched a new movie since, as they all seem shit. Worst year for movies imo. Waiting to see Dunkirk and Blade Runner. Nothing else on the radar.
Not yet but that's my next one Dunkirk the other night. Not an epic and maybe calling it a great movie is pushing it but thoroughly enjoyed it. As good as I'd expected from Nolan.
