People have different opinions on Raffa, some good some not so good, but there's one thing that can't be denied, the man is a class act

That more than a number programme on LFC TV is tough to watch but really gives you an insight in to the supporters who passed away. Just been watching the mother of Johnathan Owens talking about her son who was 18 when he died, fcukin 18.
It was his first away game, his dad loaned him his car so he and his 2 mates could go the game, none of them came home.

Tributes paid to Hillsborough survivor and campaigner Alan Dixon following his death

Mr Dixon helped organise last August's Truth and Justice concert

Tributes have been paid to a Hillsborough survivor who helped organise a concert to celebrate the landmark inquest verdicts .

Dozens of tributes have been paid following the death of Alan Dixon, a campaigner who played a key role in last August’s Truth and Justice Concert .

Mr Dixon was described as a “top fella” and “true Scouser” as friends paid their respects following news of his death.

Among those to pay tribute to Mr Dixon was Sheila Coleman, of the Hillsborough Justice Campaign, who described him as a “passionate” supporter of the campaign and wished to offer her condolences to his friends and family.

In a touching Facebook post she added: “I’m extremely saddened by the news of the death of Alan Dixon. Dicko and I had major disagreements and differences of opinion.

“However, we were united when it mattered and were strong allies In the fight for justice for Hillsborough victims and survivors.

“A life force to be reckoned with, he took no prisoners. My heart goes out to all his family and friends, especially his lovely nan, Margaret Dixon. Rest in peace Alan. No more pain. X.”

Tributes were also paid by The Official Liverpool Football Club Story, which, with a picture of a Hillsborough tribute banner, tweeted: “Another victim of Hillsboro. Another victim of a shamefully corrupt System. Another victim of your headline @thesun RIP Alan Dixon.”

City of Liverpool FC, a newly-formed team watched by Mr Dixon, also paid respect to him on social media.

The Twitter account for the club’s official podcast wrote “Our Purple Family just got a little bit smaller today ...

In honour of the sad passing of our mate and supporter Alan Dixon there will be no further output from the club today. RIP Alan.

RIP Alan Dixon” while the official club account added: “In honour of the sad passing of our mate and supporter Alan Dixon there will be no further output from the club today. RIP Alan.”

Mr Dixon, who was in his 40s, helped organise the Truth and Justice Concert at the Royal Court last year to mark the verdicts delivered at the Hillsborough inquests.

Jurors found that the 96 fans who died in the 1989 disaster were unlawfully killed, and that Liverpool supporters were not to blame for the tragedy.

RIP Alan Dixon. True scouser and a top fella. YNWA.

Speaking to the ECHO ahead of the concert, which counted Ian Prowse among the performers, Mr Dixon said: “The concert is a thank you for the people of Merseyside after 27 years of campaigning for justice for Hillsborough.

“We decided to put something together just to thank everyone.”

The money raised from the event was set to be split between charities including Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, The Owen McVeigh Foundation and the Liverpool Everton Foodbank Initiative.
