http://www.clubcall.com/liverpool/reds-make-indian-move-910627.html Reds make Indian move Liverpool, 15:42, June 8, 2009 Liverpool have opened a football academy in India, as the club looks to tap the country's growing interest in the Premier League. The Reds academy in Pune, south of Mumbai, is a logical step as the club looks to appeal to India's young talent, which in a nation of 1.15bn people, offers huge potential. The Reds will offer scouting and coaching support, in return for raising its profile in western India where the wealthy middle classes represent a considerable commercial opprtunity. Many other Premier League clubs are also targeting India, but the LFC-backed centre at Pune is the first of its kind and could give the Reds a head start in one of the world's largest markets.
Smart decision. Commercially anyway will definately generate revenue. Not Sure how well academies away from the city work but if it works then thats a bonus
Here Justy knock yourself out,the task, get this man on board to buy LFC Mukesh Ambani http://www.ril.com/html/contact/contactus.html
Reliance Industries Limited Makers Chambers - IV, Nariman Point, Mumbai 400 021. India. Justy Dawson, IrishKop In Europe Small Island, Left of England But we are a Republic... Dear Mukesh D. Ambani, Thank you for reading my letter. I hope you have more English than I have Indian. I write on behalf of the Irish Kop of Liverpool Supporters. Being Irish, I believe we share further similarities, your curry and our Guiness have a rather distinctive effect on the digestive system. I know a lot about your country having watched Slumdog Millionaire and see how your people live in big mansions such as the Taj Mahal. Im sure your house is bigger. We have some really cool things in Liverpool too that is similar to your customs– the iconic Liverbird that protects the city, similar to your Ganesh and the rock bandThe Beatles who really loved India and your spiritual approach to life. We know that you enjoy Cricket and we are firm believers that you invented the game not the British Monarchy. You are much better than the British at this game, but we have another sport in our country called football. We have one football team called Liverpool which is the greatest football team of all. Currently our football club is owned by two American Yanks who have destroyed our club. As an Indian you know how the Americans are responsible for a lot of things. When did George Bush do anything for India! NEVER! We know that you have millions of Rubees from using poor blind kids to collect money on the streets of Mumbai. Hopefully you will consider buying over our club giving us the chance to return to our former Glories. Ganesh be with you, Justy
Some of you may have noticed that Justy has been missing from IK for a few days. Please don't be worried about him. He sent me a text yesterday to say that he is having a great time out in Mumbai with his new bestest friend Mukesh Ambani. Justy was personally responsible for the decision of Mukesh to install a gravity Guinness bar at his humble pad. More details about the big party here
That looks horrible, I thought it was one of those buildings in the poorer areas of argentina where they just keeping adding bits on
Ha! Brilliant Lionel! Guys I don't get on half as much as I like to simply because I'm so busy in work lately. Even at lunch breaks you just wanna get away from the place for an hour! I'm back from India Lional, and I'm looking towards a sequel to Slumdog Millionaire but I think I could make a better film on slums and Fiana Fail in Irland what ya think?
