yeah I think this lad is fantastic. Valencia almost fall apart when he's not playing. He's injury prone but I'd say he'd be worth about 20-25 million. If Rafa and Ian Ayre can get him for less than that with Voronin the superstar going the other way then they should be wearing balaclava's

I know this has been printed today but we have been linked with him for a good long while now. Here's what's happened so far I believe: **Rafa put in a bid of something like 18 million about a month ago. **Valencia leaked the story to the papers to try start a bidding war. **Rafa got p*ssed off with this and walked away from the deal. **City and Juve were the only other teams to express an interest in Silva. **Silva's not interested in either of those teams so they've approached Liverpool and opened talks again **Since talks have began, Real Madrid have also expressed an interest in Silva
The daily mailk is tabloid trash. Never know with Rafa though - remember Torres deal came from alot of Q.T work on his behalf

It wasn't the club persay that leaked anything, Rafa stated in an interview with Balague it was a single individual who talked and that Valencia (as a whole) was not to blame. Interestingly, at that point, Rafa stated all queries were finished. Of course it now appears he was trying to keep it all quiet for a while (and making a point of stating our relationship with Valencia is still great) until he could go back in for him again. It's two occasions now he's gone in for him this season, and the Spanish/Valencia connections etc. Unless Real gazzump us, I reckon Rafa will be signing Silva.

Honestly, we've sat by for years and years and watched the likes of united spend 30 odd million on players quite regularly. Some of which, they don't really need( Berbaflop). I know we signed Torres for over 20M but its about time we get what we deserve with a few names like David Silva
Cant see him coming to us tbh. Rafa doesnt like 4-4-2. Too much competition for once place with Torres. Gerrard is more influential with two holding midfielders behind him rather than one of the two centrals (and scores as almost as much and any quality striker). I think Silva would be a better bet. Silva and Tevez - now there's a hard on!!
