Carlo Pallavicino, the agent of Juventus starlet Paolo De Ceglie, has revealed that Liverpool may bring in the 22-year-old to replace the unsettled Andrea Dossena. Coincidentally, Juventus are reportedly interested in signing the Liverpool left-back, so a swap deal could be in the works. "De Ceglie is of real interest of Liverpool," he explained to Radio Gol on Monday. "You will see that if they cede Dossena, they will replace him with De Ceglie. De Ceglie, who can also play in midfield, is considered a rising talent in Europe and has been included in the Italy Under-21 side that will play in the European championships in Sweden in the summer. Meanwhile, Dossena endured a difficult inaugural season with the Reds, only making 16 appearances in the Premier League in 2008-09 and failing to make an impact under coach Rafa Benitez. The former Udinese man has spoken about his desire to return to Serie A throughout the course of the campaign. http://www.goal.com/en/news/8/main/...could-replace-dossena-with-juventus-de-ceglie Any body know much about this kid?
Know nothing about him, but we dont need another left back in my opinion. We currently have three lefties and only one right back.
Probably and hopefully this is a load of bollox. We already have 1 top left back and another young, potentially world class one.If we're selling Dossena then i want to see £7m in cash which will be invested in another player in another position. The last thing we need is messing around with swap deals for a position that doesnt need strengthening. If that young lad was any good then Juve wouldnt be so eager to get rid of him.All he'd do is halt Insua's development.Wont happen imo.
we have two very good left backs and agger can play there if worst comes to worst, thats more than enough and if barry arrives thats another player who can slot into that position no need for a third sell dossena and concentrate on improving other positions
Another rubbish story imo. Either is utter rubbish fabricated by goal.com or an agent trying to drum up interest in his client. This sort of bullshit will be going into overdrive in the coming days/weeks.
yeah,i reckon its a rubbish story again by goal. How many is that we have been linked with so far,7 or 8 maybe moreI hope Rafa wraps up his signings fairly quickly,as its getting tedious being linked with a different player, every couple of days.
When the window is shut im looking forward to coming on here and counting how many random players we were linked with over the entire summer. My guess is 84.
I have a bet with my mate.Over/Under. on how many players we are linked with this summer(just a bit of craic). He picked under 26,at this rate i reckon im a cert.
Your friends an idiot Just off the top of my head theres already Di Ceglie (or whatever) Silva Javi Martinez Lavezzi Barry Glen Johnson Adam Johnson Downing Pranjic Forlan Wheater Negredo Owen Jesus Fernandez Luc Castaignos Tevez And the seasons only finished 8 days ago! This time next week you'll be able to collect your winnings
