http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/baby-p/5359612/Baby-P-killers-to-be-sentenced.html The mother of Baby P and two men are due to appear at the Old Bailey to be sentenced over his death. Defence lawyers will address Judge Stephen Kramer before he finally passes sentence. The 27-year-old woman, her 32-year-old partner, who both cannot be identified for legal reasons, and lodger Jason Owen, 37, face up to 14 years in jail. The two men were convicted in November last year, of causing or allowing the 17-month-old's death in August 2007. But Baby Peter's mother pleaded guilty to the offence and could be entitled to up to a third off her sentence. The term will also be reduced by the 21 months she has already spent in custody. Her boyfriend, who Peter called "dad", is facing a life sentence after being convicted on May 1 of raping a two-year-old girl. The child, like Peter, had been on the child protection register maintained by Haringey Council in north London. The girl, now four, became the youngest person to give evidence at the court when she was exposed to cross-examination from defence counsel. At one stage she appeared to be traumatised when quizzed about if she had told the truth, but managed a huge smile when told her ordeal was over. All three defendants have been warned by the judge that they face substantial prison sentences. Peter was found dead in his blood-spattered cot with a broken back and fractured ribs. He had 50 injuries - despite having 60 contacts with health and social workers over the final eight months of his life. His mother was arrested twice after bruises were spotted but was never charged after hoodwinking officials. Peter suffered months of ill-treatment, culminating in his death after a punch in the mouth knocked one of his teeth down his throat. I hope and pray that every single day of the rest of their life is filled with pain, every single minute of it.
Words cant describe what kind of evil posseses somebody to treat a child like that, there is no punishment that can be inflicted that would be satisfactory.
its all ok now, the mother sends a letter to the judge apologising, the b1tch http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/UK...ites_To_Judge:_Baby_Ps_Mother_Writes_To_Judge
i flet sick reading the first post. i dont read newspapers and it's the first time i have learnt what those scum of the earth done to an innocent child. hope they burn in hell
Thats horrific, they should never be left out of jail. on another point,it says there were over sixty visits by the social workers. They obviously failed to protect the child.. (understatement). shouldnt they be before the judge as well?
Those sick fcuks should be dropped over afghanistan & let the taliban give them the worst possible death imo, beheading.
Thats sick...a 17 month child cant even defend himself.. those people dont deserve a breath of fresh air or even polluted air as they dont deserve it..as for the mother will she doesnt deserve anything either for bringing that kind of person into the house... feed those people to the animals in the wild i reckon...
Am never able to read too much about that story as it upsets me too much. No matter what sentence they get, it will never make up for what that poor little lad suffered. Nothing will that's the sad thing.
Toddler Baby P's Mother Jailed Indefinitely The mother of Baby Peter has been jailed indefinitely for causing or allowing the death of her child - but could be out in just over three years. Peter was 17 months old when he was found dead in a blood-spattered cot Judge Stephen Kramer said she neglected her baby son during the campaign of abuse for the sake of her relationship with her sadistic boyfriend - who also raped a two-year-old girl. The 27-year-old woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, must serve a minimum of five years in jail, including the 21 months she has already been imprisoned following the toddler's death in August 2007. Her 32-year-old boyfriend, who Peter called "dad", received 12 years at the Old Bailey for his part in the death. He was also handed a life sentence, to run concurrently with a minimum of 10 years, after his rape conviction on May 1. Meanwhile, lodger Jason Owen, 37, of Bromley, Kent, was jailed indefinitely and must serve a minimum of three years. I am never going to see my lovely son grow into the lovely sweet man he would have been ... The two men were convicted in November last year of causing or allowing Peter's death in August 2007. The sentences were handed down as a second serious case review found that Peter's death could have been prevented. Peter was 17 months old when he was found dead in a blood-spattered cot having suffered a broken back and fractured ribs. He had more than 50 injuries despite being on the at-risk register and receiving 60 visits from social workers, doctors and police over eight months. Judge Stephen Kramer said: "Any decent person who heard the catalogue of medical conditions and non-accidental injuries suffered by Peter cannot fail to have been appalled. "Whatever the truth of what took place and the role and motivation of each individual, the result was that a child died in horrific circumstances with injuries that can only have caused great pain and distress prior to his death." Reacting to criticisms the sentences meted out were too short, Children's Secretary Ed Balls told Sky News there were "clear restrictions on how far the actual specified sentence can be". "The problem is that the judge is dealing with a situation where, while the adult was convicted of the rape of a child, the adult and mother were not convicted of murder by the courts," he said. Earlier, Judge Kramer had labelled Peter's mother, who had pleaded guilty to the offence, "a manipulative and self-centred person, with a calculating side as well as a temper". He said she had "actively deceived the authorities", adding: "You acted selfishly because your priority was your relationship with (the stepfather)." Peter's mother had written a letter to an Old Bailey judge on the eve of her sentencing, saying she will never forgive herself for her son's death. "I have lost all I hold dear to me. Now every day of my life is full of guilt," she wrote to Judge Kramer. "By not being fully open with the social workers, I stopped them from being able to do a full job. "As a direct result of this, my son got hurt and sadly lost his short life." May they rot
