What do you lot think? My dream would be to have Philip Lahm from Munich but he would probly cost way to much so forget him. I really belive that we should buy both, Rafhinha, young brazillian fullback from shalke and Stefan Radu, young romanian fullback from Lazio. In any football manager game or proevo/fifa i always buy Rafhinha and Radu and really think from what iv seen of them in real life ,and iv seen radu live twice, that they would be just the answer we need. Defo no need for a left full to come. Well covered with Insua and Aurelio and even Dossena showed vast improvement post xmas, Right full, I;m unsure of. Tend to change my mind on this one.

Philip Lahm is shit! He still wakes up in a sweat at the thoughts of Torres making a thick of him in Euro Final, no f***** way should we go near him, I've never seen a fullback totally humiliated the way he was against Zenith last season, it was possibly the worst display by a fullback(and when you consider Dossena v Spurs in the CC this season) i've ever seen. We're well covered at left back, but Arbeloa although decent is a weak link in the team compared to the rest of the side, Glen Johnson thats who we should go for, wether Pompey sell after he signed a new contract who knows, 2 weeks ago I thought no chance, but recent developments(Pompey are in dire straits with the banks) have given me the impression we could get him.
I can imagine them selling him on to be honest, if they ever had ambitions of genuinely going places Redknapp would have stayed and they wouldn't have sold Defoe and Diarra.
I think we all know left back isnt a major problem at the moment, right back is where the problems are..id be very surprised if we didnt sign johnson being honest
Yeah fair enough Lahm was a bit off the mark!!! But Radu is better than both our left backs and Rafhinha is miles ahead of Glen Johnson.
I don't know much about this lad Radu but he doesn't look that young and Insua at 20 years old would strike me as a much better prospect than this fella. Lest we not forget we've had a spot of misfortune signing a "good" left back from the Italian league before. Hard to judge from one youtube video but he looked good going forward but he could struggle defensively with the pace in england. Not saying i don't like the look of the guy but considering the options we already have there i see no reason to waste another maybe 8-10 million on a left back.
Give over, If you were a bit of the mark with Lahm your miles off the mark with Rafinha, Glen Johnson would be a much better player in the Premier league for us. So tell me how come you think Stefan Radu is better than both our left backs? Considering that as far as i'm aware Seria A is'nt televised live here and even at that Stefan Radu has only played 17 games since he joined a Lazio side that have struggled all season in Seria A, and Romania games dont exactly be on every week, just wondering how come you reckon hes better than Aurellio who (along with Evra)when fit is the best left full in the league , and Insua who has always done well when called on.
Hes 22 and would be sold for max 7mil EURO not pounds He has been amazing for Lazio and now first choice for romainia and was freakish for Dinamo. As iv said iv seen him live twice and he was very good in both attack and defence, he will play for a massive club in the next 2yrs. Its his first season in Italy not pkayed a full season and he is Lazio's player of the year. I do indeed reckon he is better than Aurellio and Insua but belive Insua will be world class in a few years. My second team is Steaua Bucuresti and second country is Romania so i follow both the league and national team very carefuly and have seen him play more than two dozen times. What are u on about iv seen him play alot of game, by saying 2 games live i mean i was AT the games! Lazio just won the italian cup and YES Radu has been voted there player of the year.

Yes i did mate and yeah he played well i was also in stamford bridge to see him score that free kick and iv seen him play live alot more then Radu and still i rate Radu higher. Yuo have probly never seen him play and this is becoming a stupid arguement we arnt gona sign him but i would bet my gaf that he will play for a top european side in 2yrs, same as Bogdan Stancu of Steaua
