R - really T - terrible E - entertainment Glad I get out most Friday nights cause having to watch this fella would be awful - feel sorry for the older population tho, having to sit through this. The taxpayer/license payer is going to pay his huge salary, so surely RTE should have come up with someone better for this prime time show. There had to be someone out there.
He said it's not going to be like the Tubridy Tonight, trying to keep to the Late Late format and trying to add something different. Trouble is he can't change that fooking smug head of his and that ridiculous voice.
I can see people turning off in their droves. He may calm down a good bit and lose the geeky voice. Will he be able to approach serious issues with the sensitivity they need? Suppose Pat wasn't exactly great at this either
I reckon he's better to listen to than that clown gerry ryan... imagine having to turn on your tele on a friday night and see the mouthy clown on it...its bad enough he is on the radio every morning so im glad he didnt get on tele either.... but yeah its abit of a supirse him getting the job...
I don't think he will be able to conduct many fair and unbiased discussions on political issues, which is part of the show with his brother being in Fianna Fáil and with his cousin being Minister Barry Andrews also in Fianna Fáil.
He said today in the Times that he's not going to have debates on current affairs etc, something which i thought was a better part of the show...
Well he has to be better than the cardboard cut out of Pat Kenny that they've been using for the last few years!

Tubridy will get a record amount of people tuning in mainly because of the hype surrounding Cowen's appearance tonight...However, as we all know, Tubridy has strong links to FF through his family with two cousins acting TDs (Andrews)...I don't expect him to get a grilling...
ross and gervais?i really like ross but when gervais is on the smarm and buddy buddy routine is too much for me.Tubridy did well on Cowen i reckon.
