Next up is Newcastle. Another must win at the end of the season. Hopefully Gerrard will be back loves to play against Newcastle. Should be 3 points and putting Newcastle closer to relegation

watching newcastle monday night i'd say we've nothing to worry about, playing sides that are in a relegation battle is always very difficult at this stage of the season, but i feel newcastles mindset is to win their 2 remaining homes games, they attacked spurs and stoke in their last 2 away games and feel they will do here aswell which could set it up nicely for us,3-0 to the reds.

They wont believe they can beat us. Especially after a number of poor performances. Should be an easy 3 points

Should be a fairly routine 3 points but I would like to see us rip them to shreds to distroy their confidence even more as I hate Shearer. Hes gotten £400k for 4 games and 2 points and its clear to see he is regretting taking it on now there has been zero Shearer effect on the team and hes gone from 3 home wins to stay up to I dont know where we will get the points from. Hopefully nowhere

By all accounts this should be a home banker. The Toon are going to focus on their two home games to get out of the shi-ite. If Stevie if fit I would leave him on the bench for this one and maybe give him twenty minutes or so because I can't see their midfield giving us many problems and so no need to risk any further setbacks.
    4-0

Does anyone know if Nemeth is injured? Himself and Spearing are not in the reserves team or bench for tonights reserve game, so I wonder will they be in the 1st team squad on Sunday? I'd love to see Nemeth get a run before the end of the season

Reckon this should be as routine a win as we will have this season. Never like to be ahead of myself on these type of things but after watching the barcodes on Monday, we should win this at a canter. Never seen such a toothless display by a team at this stage of the season, and in the predicament they are in, there can only be one outcome. Cant see them staying up to be honest. 3 nil to us i reckon, Torres, Gerrard and Yossi to score.

Well he has been injured and he also had a bad run in the last few weeks after returning, but he scored the other night in the senior cup final. Also, Ngog and El Zhar are playing for the reserves tonight and thats why I think himself and Spearing will be involved with the 1st team.

Obviously I don't see him starting, but if we are winning comfortably it would be good to see him get a run before the end of the season.

Yeah, i know its not a good idea to get too confident and predict that we'll destroy them, but they are just so bad i cant see anything other than a very comfortable win for this game. A lot of teams in around Newcastle like Stoke and Hull are tricky teams because they get in your face and give it a go, but they just do f**k all! 2-0 or 3-1 at worst and it may well be more imo!

We could easily have put 6 or 7 past them in each of our last 3 matches against them. I can see it happening on Sunday, Torres with at least a hatrick :) and Stevie to ease himself back in with a brace :)

I think he's a good man for the future but wasn't that his first goal of '09? I wouldn't like to see him unless it's for 15 minutes at the end and we are already winning comfortably. Otherwise it's not the time to be playing him IMO.
