I've been thinking and I can't recall many better free kicks been scored than Elano's free kick for city's 3rd goal on Saturday. Now I'm sure there have been some as good but just can't think of many at the moment, so if anybody can think of some let me know (maybe even a youtube link to the goal if there is any)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8FlplfGTpY Nearly always the first one that comes to mind. But if your talkin about freekicks hit DIRECTLY with no-one rolling them or dummyin them or whatever..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=470AvFs09fQhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=470AvFs09fQ

I remember when we played Genoa in the UEFA Cup semi-finals in 1991-1992. We lost both games but the one thing that I always remember was this absolutely cracking free-kick by Branco in injury time of the first leg; we lost 2-0. Don't think I have ever seen better
Its one of my fav's too, some statement to say he's still in the team cos of it Gary Mac's free kick in the final in Dortmund 01' always brings fond memories, what an assist!
Gerrard's against Villa wasn't half bad as neither was Gonzalez's last year, a sneaky one in the bottom right corner.....oh what might've been. I'm looking forward to Aurelio staying fit for a bit because if his free kicks are half as good as his crossing we should be in for a threat. Kewell should be well able to stick them in............'arry who ? I hate to see them being lined up for Riise, always seems a wasted opportunity.
Do ya remember how he kept nudging the ball forward when the ref was look away, he gained a fair few yards from doing it - made all the difference in the end.
everyone remembers roberto carlos's,what a goal! van persie's the other day just ooozed class as well!how he got that much power and accuracy is beyond me!
I can remember thinking, whats he doing shooting what a waste, OMG its in and jumping up and down, shows what I know. Gary Mac Gary Mac Hes got no hair we don't care Gary Gary Mac
