I really didn't like the scenes at the JJB today - both the punches flying and the armes being raised in triumph when the fans were being escorted away by the police.
Really hope this is an isolated incident.
Looked like reds in the away end ........:(

What are your views on this ?

there were reds scattered amongst the home crowd. probably nothing too unusual about that. goal went in, and from what I could tell few redds jumped up and the wigan fans in one particulsr area didn;t take kindly to it. Something else could possibly have been said but I think it primarily came from the celebration. Looked like a couple of reds got a bad going over.

In my opinion, the police reaction to it was disgraceful. they didn;t want to get involved and they left the couple of lads for ages to get a good going over

when we play teams like wigan who never sell out their stadium there will always be a few reds scattered around the ground because they can get tickets, i suppose the trick is to keep your head down, the lads yesterday nobviously start celebrating when liverpool scored, not a good idea

It was awful to see. I can understand the home crowd not appreciating away fans sitting in amongst them especially when they are losing but to act out in a violent manner against them is totally unacceptable. One guy got a right going over.

I saw one bald Wigan fan lay a huge right hook as the red fans were on the way down...not happy at all...

I was sitting with the Chelsea fans in Old trafford for the cup semi final a couple of years ago. Talk about dicing with death, great it was though, the win that is, but If I had jumped up when Garcia scored the 2nd I seriously would have been battered to pulp. Its my own fault I know for going in but i managed to restrain myself. Its unfortunately the way is is.
