Just saw "Two days in paris" here in cambridge. I was very dubious, but it was a brilliant laugh. Its a good one to bring the wife/ girlfriend too, cos as its a "lovestory" half in english and french, theyll go for it. But it is really funny, linguistically (particularly some very rude conversations). Also Paris looks great and they stay away from showing you the Eifel tower from every angle.
Also check out "eagle verus shark" if you havent already. One of my favourite movies. It has the guy from that comic New Zealand folk band the Conchords. Its an amazing movie. Elements of Napolean Dynamite, but more intelligent I think. The mixed race "white fella-mauri" makes for intersting dynamics. When the main character proclaimed "damn I'm so complex" I thought id never stop laughing. Not sure why I found it so funny
