Right back to The League. Forget the Chelsea game, We are flying at the moment in the Premiership, so lets roar the Reds on to Top Spot and then see how "the others" cope with the pressure this time.

Goes without saying that 3 points is a must, and we've every chance of getting them. C'mon the Reds!!

Mods, Please leave this post here, as it's completely relevant to this match thread and the best place for Our supporters going to this match to see it here:

THOUSANDS of football fans are set to march in a bid to persuade Jack Straw to pardon a jailed supporter.

The Justice Secretary and Blackburn MP, will be urged to free Michael Shields by campaigners before Blackburn Rovers’ trip to Anfield on Saturday.

Shields and his supporters claim that he was the victim of a miscarriage of justice when he was jailed for attempted murder in Bulgaria in 2005 after Liverpool won the Champions League final in nearby Istanbul, Turkey.

Recently Mr Straw ruled he could not make a decision on whether to grant Reds fan Shields a pardon before the end of May.

Without a pardon he will not be freed from jail until May 2010 under his sentencing tariff.

In December last year, the High Court ruled that Mr Straw is able to grant Shields a Royal Pardon. A QC's review of the evidence has been ordered and Merseyside Police has been told to open an investigation of the case.

Shields is currently being held at Thorn Cross prison in Cheshire.

Liverpool fans are to march a six-mile route from the city centre to Anfield.

Leading the march will be Michael's parents Michael Shields snr and his wife Maria gathering names for a new petition calling for their son's speedy release.

Window cleaner Michael snr said: “Michael is an innocent lad who was wrongly convicted by a kangaroo court in Bulgaria.

“Jack Straw has been told that he has the power to release Mike so every day he spends behind bars is an insult.

“With this march we want to send a clear message to Jack Straw in the hope he will see to it that Michael is released without further delay.â€

Hopefully this speeds up whatever decision that straw is goin to make it must horrible for the family knowing that a decision is to be made but not knowing exactly when so to jack straw get the finger out and make the correct decision and free an innocent man.

Blackburn on saturday: after last night i just hope the result doesnt do to us what 4 - 1 at old toilet did to united,we need the lads to stand up and fight cause we cant afford any dropped points at home in the run in, If the last 20 minutes of last night is anythin to go by we will fight right to the last kick.Rafa needs to get the heads clear today and have them 100% focused on the game saturday morning. if he can do this then the pressure on united for their later kick off will be huge. Were at the point of the season were we will see who can handle the pressure and who will fold.I think we have enough experienced leaders to get us through the run in im sure we will bounce back on saturday.Rovers will be up for a battle im sure we will as well.

Yeah, last night was a shock result that no sane person would have predicted no matter what side they support. We just have to focus on the Blackburn game now and hopefully we'll be top, if not just for a few hours! This will cheer us up and if sunderland could manage to get a draw even, we'll all be in much better spirits.

The League was always priority number one! We have to bounce back and forget about last night. We should be well capable to beat Blackburn even without Gerrard. Every game between now and May is a must win.

    Reina

    Arbeloa
    Carra Skrtel
    Insua

    Alonso Mach

    Kuyt
    Riera
    Benayoun

    Torres

Yossi should be well able to play beind Torres and could even see him grabbing a goal

i think he will go with two up front, the system we use with stevie behind torres only works when you have stevie to play there, yossi could probably play there but not to the same effect.
I would like to see kuyt pushed up front and yossi on the right.
We sould have enough to get a win but i just hope that gerrard gets back soon.

Apparently Roque is a fitness doubt for this one, here's hoping anyway. Our lads will hopefully come back to this with a massive response from Wednesday night and build up a 3 goal lead by half time. Then we can haul off a few lads for the game of their life next Tuesday... ;)

Imo this game is as important as the Fulham game was. It could make or break our season, we have to prove we have the character to bounce back from wednesdsay night and that it hasnt affected us. If we only scrape a draw that could well be the end of our title hopes, we need maximum focus tomorrow. Blackburn have picked up a bit of late and imo are a better side than their league position shows. Yeah, im not going to get carried away this time!, 1-0 or 2-1 would be fine, just get the 3 points lads!

Haha-I have a feeling we're going to be saying that every single league game as we have been doing for the last month or so:)

3 points is all that matters-could care less how we get them!C'mon redmen!
