compressing files

    hi all wats the best software for tis i used win zip but its a bit confusing some times and my time is up on the free one.

    You can just uninstall the one you have, and if you have the installer again, just reinstall for free again.
    The one i use is jzip.
    Completly free and easy to use(hence why i use it)

    winrar gets my vote too. It can compress files to .rar and .zip archives.

    What version of windows are you using? All newer versions allow you to copy files into a folder, right click on folder and select "Send to" - "Compressed (zipped) file". You can do it at a single file level also - just right click on the file.

    Very true. You can also "explore" zipped files and copy any data inside it to another folder (uncompressed).

    The one in Windows mentioned above is free.
