We didn't set the world on fire with free flowing rugby but we showed just how good we are as a unit. I thought we showed great resolve and commitment with the result in Wales. Hopefully with the monkey off our backs we can push on from here and start dominating northern hemisphere rugby? Ronan O'Gara was absolutely immense for us. He was targeting by the Welsh as a weak link and didn't have one of his better games but to slot over a drop goal with all that pressure takes some balls, hats off. Superb!!!;)

Well done to the whole squad. Delighted for O'Driscoll and O'Connell, 2 Irish sporting greats. I dont ever want to have to sit through a final few minutes like that again!

if you have nothing good to say about that amazing win maybe its best to say nothing at all.

Just watched the highlights there and Jones' 2nd peno in the first half was from roughly the same distance as the last kick of the game. i had a feeling he wouldnt do it, the legs were gone. Great stuff altogether :)

Some stuff from the Irish lads. A couple of them could teach the likes of Stephen Ireland what it means to represent your country. Everyone of them put their body on the line and for likes of Hayes, O Connell, Wallace, O Driscoll, O Gara and Flannery it was long overdue.

It did take a man from the rugby stronghold of Monaghan to get one of the vital scores that clinced it.

Go Tommy Bowe!!!

I'm delighted they got it. I was sure Stephen Jones would slot his 80th minute penalty. Talk about edge of your seat stuff right up until the final whistle.
