A kids movie starring Owen Wilson, Jennifer Aniston and an Andrex dog thats causing adults and kids to leave the cinema crying, doesnt sound like much of a kids movie to me.

Theres no way anybody who's seen Schindlers List would not struggle to hold back a tear or 2 when the little girl in the red coat is seen lying among the other bodies having seen her walk lost and aimless in several other previous scenes in the film.Absolute heart wrenching stuff.

I've only gotten wishy washy with the tears three times in the cinema, the end of Schindlers List and the 'O Captain, My Captain' scene and the end of Dead Poets Society, and embarrisingly when Wilson floated away in Cast Away (yes I know he was a vollyball) these days if I want to be depressed watching a film I'll rent and DiNiro or Pacino flic and wonder what happened to their careers, I certainly wont cry to a bloody dog movie.

It was released yesterday. My brother saw it last night and said the first 45 minutes are good and then it turned into such rubbish he couldnt believe what he was watching and told me its so bad he wouldnt even watch it on telly again for free.

Id be interest to see what anyone else thinks when they see it before I fork over my cash to see it.

Yeah the Champ is probably the closest man flick that strays into chick flick territory at the end.

The whole thing with Marley & Me is it was billed as a kiddies movie not a chick flick which makes the ending all the worse.

As for Knowing I finally got to see it and the plane and train scenes are worth watching and even the aliens I could put up with as I knew it was a sci-fi but that last scene with the New Eden and the tree of knowledge crap with kids being the new Adam and Eve (at least I think thats what it was meant to be) made me wish I had never put the disc in the machine.

We had to put our 11 year old dog to sleep on sunday, my wife had her for 2 years before she met me since she was a pup after finding her abandoned on the streets, she's devestated over it, and it was the hardest thing i've ever had to do trying to explain it to my 3 year old daughter she's gone, "Ellie" was her 1st friend and the house just seems empty now she's not pottering around the kitchen and sitting room.
Really is heartbreaking loosing a pet,I remember watching this film and thinking it's so true what dogs are, friends family and companions, anyway make sure you look after yours when you have them.

Sorry to hear that mate. It's an awful feeling. Give it a few weeks and then you can bring your little one to pick out a puppy, and create new memories whist fondly remembering the old ones.

Nothing better than watching toddlers bond with puppies, brightens the world up.

Don't know what I'd do without my 2, especially the little one. I had to revive her at birth, so I'm horribly attached. I treat her better than I do people :)

Have to agree with you there richie. I'd a 8 yr old lab and he is beautiful. Since ive moved i haven't seen him as much but when I go home he always goes mad and bursts into the room in the morning to make sure I'm still there. When I go home on a Sunday it's like leaving a child behind as he sits at the sitting room window crying for me not to go.

Animals are a wonderful and important part of our lives.
