More of the same boys, what more can you say after the last two performances.

Should not be too many changes, all depends on the injury front if alonso and arbeloa are fit then they will probably come in for sami and lucas, but you never know with rafa he could surprise us all yet.

Would like to see spearing on the bench for this as if we are a couple of goals up with 20 mins or so left then it would be good to bring him on and keep his progression going.

With a bit of luck manure will have dropped points to fulham hopefully super dan will do us a favour and it will set this game up nicely for us

    Come on redmen

The last 2 results, particularly the last one, will be meaningless unless we collect all 3 points on offer against Villa.

They've had a bad spell recently, and have seen the gooners overtake them into 4th spot, so Im not expecting a walkover at all.

Villa will revert to the away-team-type, all defensive and everything, and it'll be a real test for us. You just have to look back at Villa's win at the Emirates to see the real threat they pose with their pacey counterattacks.

Hopefully, Rafa goes with the strongest team possible, and Torres keeps up his fine form of the previous 2 games.

    I'd settle for a 1-0.
But Im really hoping we can take the game to them as we did Madrid and the mancs.

We have to gain these points, its must, like every game until the end of the season!!

For me we need to make up some goal difference also over the next few games we're 5 behind the other 2 if memory serves. Our away form has been magnificent this season. I expect a win.

I hate to see people talking about goal difference coming up to a game, especially one as difficult as Villa, lets just hope we get the win and forget about goal difference.

This for me is actually a tougher test for the team than Utd and Real. Villa are going to do what everyone else has done at anfield this season and sit very deep with 9 men behind the ball. With young/agbonlahor they can cause trouble on the break and Heskey/Carew will be very dangerous from set pieces. We need the Torres and Gerrard show in full swing, if we come through this i think we can win every game between now and the end of the season.

It's difficult to know what to make of this game-is it a good time or a bad time to be playing villa-im not sure.

On one hand theyve gone well off the boil in recent weeks and as predicted their small squad and lack of rotation has cost them-key players such as young, agbonlahor and barry who play virtually 90 mins every week look jaded and without these 3 firing on all cylinders theyre nowhere near the same team.the lack of confidence and loss of momentum in their camp will hopefully work in our favour but then again theyre ''due a win''-as were boro a few weeks ago.

With a solid keeper and defence,I'm sure theyll invite us onto them and use agbonlahor and young on the counter as well as carew or heskey as their ''out ball'' to hold onto it when theyre under pressure.

3 points is almost as important for them as it is for us so my hope is that theyll come out to play and that we can over-run them in midfield and create plenty of chances for torres. We must be careful though-this isnt like stoke or fulham at home where we could throw caution to the wind in search of a goal-we'll have to keep an eye on their pacy players and have tommy masch on the park to track back.

hopefully our form and confidence at the moment will help us to a 2-1 or 3-1.

An early goal would be nice in this one, however I have a feeling this will be a cagey affair since I'd imagine Villa will play defensive. The crowd must be patient and give the team the support it deserves.

Would't expect many changes to the team barring Alonso, thats presuming AA is unlikely to be fit.

I agree mate, like your thinking about the goal difference also, we sould be thinking about this every game, from here on :)

Now that would be nice mate, but sadly I fear their manager won't let the Fulham team even try for that result, based upon his interviews (Roy (let me give 3 points to the Mancs, cause they are soooo much better than my team) Hodgson)

Villa are pretty short on confidence so i can see us winning fairly comfortably especially now that torres is near full fitness and we can finally have our best two up front!!!him and dossena are gonna crush Vill's defence

I can't back this up with stats but I have heard that Villa have never won a game in March since MON became manager.

I see Villa still haven't sold out their allocation for Sunday. Reckon if this game was a few weeks ago they'd have sold them in no time.

A real lack of confidence coming from their camp (both players and fans) lately, lets hope we take full advantage.

An early goal and their heads might well drop.
