Oh Yeah, Metallica are back again. I went to see them for the first time last year and it was amazing. Can't wait for this one. I don't know anything about some of the supporting bands but it should be a great gig. I haven't been to a bad gig at Marlay park. Line up: Metallica (of course) Alice in chains Sevenfold Mastodon Lamb of God Thin Lizzy The Sword
I have to bring my 13 year old daughter and her mate to this, looking forward to it, metallica one of the only decent bands I havent seen live yet
seen them the last 5 or 6 times they have played in ireland if its your first time your deffo in for a treat dont know if ill be going this year though?
well how did everyone get on was it a good night i couldnt go unfortunatly but i checked vids on youtube and it looked class did they say they were coming back next year??
I had a great day, went up in a pink limo, had a lovely roast dinner & a couple of beers nearby then sat at the back of marley park on a bench drinking. We didn't bother with any of the support acts but there was a lot there for avenge sevenfold. Metallica were good & the event was brilliantly organised. It was some difference to the disgrace of slane a couple of months ago.
Didn't make this one! Have seen Metallica loads of times, firstly In '86 in the S.F.X. two weeks before Cliff Burton was killed. Always a great live band, never fail to deliver!
Boys & girls, I'm posting this to advertise a band that are playing The Village, Wexford Street, on 4th Oct. The bands name is Y&T, from the states, they last played here in 1982 as support to AC/DC in RDS Simmonscourt. They've finally made it back to Dublin. Any rock fans on the site, this is a must see band, they're fantastic live, & play good old fashioned rock. Tickets are on sale in the Sound Cellar on Nassau Street @ €26, which is a good price for such a great live band! Before you ask, I've nothing to do with the band or The Village or the Sound Cellar, I'm just a MASSIVE fan who's recommending a good night out guaranteed for lovers of good rock music! Cheers, Chris
