I've been in Dublin and I like that city, in Grafton street and temple bar is very nice...
there are also fantastic places like Glendalough and Kilkenny where there's the tower and the castle.
I've never been in the atlantic side...for example near Limerick or any other place on the west side.
what's your favourite place in Ireland?

Dingle & Kerry generally, Ventry is a lovely base to go exploring from.

Connemara out past Roundstone & Clifden

Achill Island, gone a bit 'modern' if you could call it that but absolutely beautiful.

They're my favourites anyway but I'd go before the eveneings close in completely.

Has to be somewhere by the sea for me Cork/kerry coast. Waterford and mayo/sligo coast is beautiful also. Connemara also. Sorry if its a bit vague.
Dingle is a super place for a piss up ( the only place that there is a pub/hardware store all in the one ).

I love it for loads of reasons there are some beautifull places in dublin ie howth, malahide beautifull little villages like sandymount, the lovely parks we have in the city some beautifull buildings,
also love the old parts of the city like smithfield and the fruit markets and the so called working class areas of the city ie crumlin cabra ballyfermot, moore street and its charm and character before it was turned into the mess that it is now !
everything you could need is on your doorstep airports, concert venues shops best selection on clubs, pubs, places to eat in the country,
and not to forget the dublin people who are imho opinion the best natured and most witty people in the country, (obviouslt there are some exceptions)

these are some of the many reasons why i love dublin so much sure it has its problems but where hasnt !

Good answer! Can't say I'd disagree with any of your points.

Good choices Gerry I have been to Cushendall about 8or 9 yrs ago beautiful place. and I live in Kinsale which has some beautiful spots especially of the beaten track. Galway is a great city to go out in. Dingle I'd have to include in my list too.

just moved in Ballinteer last March, originally from City Centre. Still getting used to the lack of buses and police sirens going under my windows!
