Shakhtar at the minute 10/11 looks a decent bet even odds on. .................................................................... Tottenham Hotspur embark on the first of six games in 17 days when they tackle Shakhtar Donetsk in the last 32 of the Uefa Cup. A hectic fixture schedule awaits Spurs, with manager Harry Redknapp describing the pile-up as "crazy". Redknapp has also bemoaned the state of the playing surface in Ukraine, dubbing the pitch at RSK Olimpiyskyi unfit for non-league football. Furthermore, Spurs will have to make do without a number of key players, as Redknapp looks ahead to a number of vital outings, including the Carling Cup final on 1st March. Jonathan Woodgate, Luka Modric, Carlo Cudicini, Wilson Palacios and Aaron Lennon have all been rested for the clash. Eight youngsters have travelled to Donetsk and 17-year-old Dean Parrett could start against the Ukrainian champions. Team news Pascal Chimbonda is in the frame to make his first start since rejoining Spurs from Sunderland in the January transfer window. Robbie Keane, Roman Pavlyuchenko and Vedran Corluka are cup-tied, as is injured striker Jermain Defoe. Ledley King (hamstring) and Jamie O'Hara (hip) are out and Alan Hutton (foot) is out long-term so boss Redknapp has turned to his youngsters. Mircea Lucescu's Shakhtar have been on their winter break and have not played since their 3-2 victory at Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League on 9th December. Shakhtar have since lost striker Brandao to Marseille and defender Tomas Hubschman will be absent against Spurs through suspension. _________________
on many occasions a sure thing has backfired on me but this looks too good to be true,15/8 minus a goal for me.
shakhtar have been playing friendlies all over europe the last few weeks,so fitness should be ok,they sold one of their top players in the transfer window but have no injury worries, just one suspension.the won 7 in a row before their league finished, and any team that can go to barcelona an take a 3-0 lead in a champions league match has got to have some quality.
All the Russian and Ukrainian teams did well last night against decent opposition (CSKA, Zenit,Kiev and some other team I have never heard off won away to Sampdoria). My weekend drinking money is going on Shaktor.
2/5 with draw no bet on PP. That is a gaurenteed 40% return if my maths are right. Any one see Kiev's pitch last night? Worst pitch I have ever seen. Spurs will have poo running then there legs tonight.
HT/FT even or -1 hdcp alright, I will be on Shaktar alright. I will also have a score on Fernandinho to score at anytime for Shaktar!
That aint a bad team spurs put out let me tell u. I dont think it will be as easy as everyone says it going to be!
Yeah they're grand until the last third, then it keeps breaking down. Surely they have to take a gamble soon
Dipped into the Madrid away tank to have a piece of this, gonna be 100 nicker in the hole if they dont score.Only got 4/5 with bet365 but that doesnt matter a fu'ck if shack dont win.
