Seen today that 5 players were called up to the spanish side for the England game next week. Then had a look at the offical site and Rafa saying that He'll wait until last minute weither or not to play Torres or Alonso at Pompy due to amount of games in the last few weeks.

Whats the betting that betting that they will still travel to Spain for the game on Wednesday. We should do what the mancs and the rest do and look after our club needs first and not let them go.

International games at this stage of the season are a disaster.

Rafa should be sitting these guys down before they sign any contracts and telling them- International friendlies come second to the club always. We are in a great position and to possibly lose players to non Liverpool related injuries is unacceptable imo.

I think the players would agree with Rafa if he did. The problem is with the international managers/associations. Understandably they want all their players available all the time.

All the top team are in the same boat when internationals come around except maybe the scum as they can make up their own rules as they go along

If Rafa announced that Torres et al were unavailable for a frindly match, you can gaurantee that the respective international managers would call on those players and have them checked out by the nations doctors...

This is the biggest obstacle when these games come along!!

Extra game play can only benefit Fernando,if he was training and got injured it would be worse,at least a competitive game will be more beneficail.

I hope Raffa has a deal in place with Del Bosq to have Nando taken off at half time.
