Thsi brought a laugh for me this morning. Joe Kinnear taking about N'Zogbia after he accidently called him 'Insomnia'. "He lived in a fantasy world. There was not a day when he didn't add some Mickey Mouse story about a club that wanted him. "First of all, he came in and told me Arsenal wanted to buy him, then the next week it was Aston Villa, then the next week, it was Manchester United, then the next week it was Real Madrid, then the next week it was Lyon. "And each time he came in, he made it clear he did not want to be at the club so in the end, there was only one thing I could do - send him to Wigan.
it just goes to show how disillusioned some of these modern day players are. In his own head he probably thinks he is good enough for madrid or someone. some of them are another planet to the rest of us
He never set the world alight did he. fair play to kinnear for getting rid of him. zogbia isint right in the head apparently.
From Sly: Newcastle boss Joe Kinnear has been taken to hospital after feeling unwell ahead of the game at West Brom. Kinnear took ill at the team hotel ahead of Saturday's clash at the Hawthorns and after being examined by the club's doctor he was taken to hospital. It means the Irishman will miss the crucial game against West Brom with his assistant Chris Hughton now taking charge of the team for the relegation six-pointer. A club statement read: "On Saturday morning Joe Kinnear reported feeling unwell at the team hotel ahead of Newcastle United's game at West Bromwich Albion "After being examined by the club's medical staff Joe was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure where he remains under observation. "Joe will miss the game, with Chris Hughton taking charge of the team at The Hawthorns." Kinnear suffered a mild heart attack back in 1999 while in charge at Wimbledon and Newcastle have not revealed any details of his illness. All the best Joe-let's hope it's not a re-occurrance of the heart problems he's had.
