Wonder who will be out of this after last night ? hopefully we get back to winning ways to keep our title chas eon track, some very tired looking legs last night i wonder if the game will go ahead with the weather and the fact they are the only team in the league without undersoil heating - maybe a posponment would not be too bad with our possible injurys !

Torres came off due to tiredness no knock according to Rafa. Think too many people are listening to Clive T on ITV who had Torres carrying/struggling with an injury after 20 minutes:rolleyes:yet managed to stay on the field for a lot longer. Couldn't have seen Rafa risking him that long now if he was carrying a knock somehow.

was also the fact that he didnt outsprint Jagielka all night made me thought he could be carrying a knock. Think Torres could have done with a Heskey like figure beside him the more i think about it

Don't think he's outsprinted anyone since he's come back. A case of regaining his fitness game by game.

Torres didnt look too sharp last night alright but then again he didnt look too shapr at Wigan either and in the enxt game against Chelsea, look what he did so providing he isnt actually injured id have him in against Pompy - its must win for us. They all are now! If we go 2 up then id take him out and give hima rest!

Looking at the forecast for the weekend in the South of England there is a distinct possibility that this game wont go ahead.

Might not be the worst thing if that is the case. Had a big game alst sunday evening. Went 120 mins in a firey affair on Wednesday - a rest could be the best thing for them providing the re scheduled game isnt crammed in somewhere ridiculous!

I was thinking the same. With internationals next week and FA Cup the weekend after, Stevie and Torres could be fighting fit for the next game if this was called off. Only thing is not retaining the top of the table before the scum play to put a bit of pressure back on them.

Fair point, especially with United having a tough game away at West Ham - i think they will drop points there!

Babel just off Torres. Mascherano in for Lucas with the back 4 staying the same. Portsmouth are a club in complete disarray so anything but 3 points is failure.

Torres needs someone up there with him imo.Too many times last night he was surrounded by 3-4 defenders(kicking lumps out of him) with no help from anyone.Still think we'll do it anyway,Pompey are in tatters at the mo.
