we might win (but i wouldnt bet on it thats for sure) but we're going to have to score at least twice to do it because i just cant see us keeping a clean sheet to be honest. They're gonna get it wide and pummel crosses into the box (as well as loadsa set pieces) to mido and Zaki. If i have one major problem with rafa its his inability to rectify repeated mistakes. We've been conceding goals from crosses more than any other team in the prem for the past 18 months and it still doesnt look like being rectified. he just cant fix it. The bizarre statistic is (and i'm def not one for bandying around meaningless stats) that 71.43% of our goals conceded this season have been from crosses. Only one other team have more than 50% (bolton i think it is) and most other teams its less than 40%. Its glaringly obvious that this is a huge problem...as is our set piece delivery and crossing in general.
in contrast utd had a problem in conceding soft goals, altho they never publicly admitted it, went out and got vidic and worked hard and now are keeping 11 clean sheets in a row. i'm praying for a 2-1 but not overly optimistic really

We have only conceded 14 goals so roughly 8 goals conceded from setpieces or crosses. No big deal there IMO. Goals have to come from somewere and I can only think of 3 goals (Newcastle,Spurs(a freak goal) and Everton) conceded direct from a setpiece.

Some statistics are pure boll*x and this is 1 of them.

Also it must mean we are rock solid through the middle but lets not focus on the positives..........
